Nicholas Hoult will star in ‘Kill Your Friends’.
The ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ actor will play an A&R agent in pursuit of the next big hit, in the film adaptation of John Niven’s 2008 book of the same name, according to deadline.com.
The 24-year-old hunk – who is dating Hollywood sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence – will star alongside James Piddock who has been cast as Derek Sommers, managing director of the record label.
BAFTA-nominated Owe Harris is set to direct the picture for which Niven has also adapted the screenplay, while Gregor Cameron and Will Clarke are producing.
Hoult will next hit the big screen in ‘Young Ones’, where he stars as Flem Lever.
The sci-fi film follows the story of a teenage boy who sets out to protect his family at a time in the future when water is hard to find.
Meanwhile, Piddock – who made his film debut in director Richard Donner’s ‘Lethal Weapon 2’ – was most recently working on TV comedy ‘Family Tree’ alongside co-creator Christopher Guest.
