Neil Jones ‘positive’ about Strictly Come Dancing return this weekend

Neil Jones is feeling "positive" about returning to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this week.
The 37-year-old professional dancer – who has been paired with Alex Scott – has had to miss the last two weeks of live shows after suffering an excruciating injury when a muscle in his leg popped out, but he has now revealed he’s back in training training this week and hopeful for a comeback.
He tweeted: "Most people don’t like Monday’s but I do… that’s because I get to teach
@AlexScott a NEW DANCE!!!! #teamred #Strictly (sic)"
He later added to a follower: "It’s positive at the moment but still I need to see"
Neil also rejected speculation he could quit the Latin and ballroom show entirely, and confirmed he’s "getting better each day".
Meanwhile, the star thanked the fans for their support over the weekend, and heaped praise on fellow pro Kevin Clifton for stepping in to dance with retired footballer Alex, 35, during his recovery.
He wrote: "Thank you to everyone for your support and kind words.
"Every week @AlexScott improves and I really want to thank @keviclifton once again for his help last week.
"I couldn’t stop smiling when watching them yesterday. Fingers crossed we will be together again #teamred"
Kevin, also 37, paid tribute to Neil’s choreography, and revealed he has still had a huge influence on Alex’s routines despite his injury.
He said: "U got this man… Thanks for the brilliant choreography. @AlexScott was a joy to dance with which is down to her hard work and your teaching (sic)"
