Naughty Boy helps Simon Cowell on X Factor: The Band

Naughty Boy will be one of the music industry experts on ‘The X Factor: The Band’.
The 34-year-old music mogul has joined the ITV competition to help show creator Simon Cowell and Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger – the only two judges on the show – in their search for the next chart-topping group.
Naughty Boy – whose real name is Shahid Khan – has been announced as a member of a panel of music industry experts after working with the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, Wiley, Leona Lewis, JLS and Cheryl.
The award-winning producer will help the judges identify, nurture and formulate the wannabes.
He will be joined by platinum-selling record producer Fred Ball, who has worked with pop stars Madonna, Little Mix, MIA and Kylie Minogue.
Carla-Marie Williams, who has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for her work on Beyoncé’s album ‘Lemonade’, and Lil’ Eddie, known as a vocal coach extraordinaire on ‘The X Factor US’, will also be part of the team of music industry experts on the show.
The news comes after Louis Walsh was reportedly offered an "adviser" role on the competition, but he is said to have turned it down.
A source recently said: "Louis had a fantastic time on ‘X Factor: Celebrity’ and was confident he would be back for ‘The Band’.
"He obviously has a lot of experience working with bands such as Westlife.
"But Simon had other ideas. He felt it would make more sense to have him mentoring the boys and Nicole looking after the girls. Louis was offered a role as an adviser.
"But it soon became clear there was no real job, so he turned the offer down."
