Katy B's new album is going to be "clubbier" than her last record.
The 26-year-old singer is excited to release the follow-up to 'Little Red', even though she finds it frustrating when people don't think she writes her own songs.
She said: "It's going to be clubbier than my last one.
"Some tracks are more melancholy, but there are some party ones as well.
"It's funny, most people assume I don't write my own songs because I haven't got a guitar in my hand or I'm not sitting at a piano - but I write all my own lyrics.
"The album is nearly finished, so it'll be out early next year."
Katy had a great time filming the 60s-inspired music video for her latest single 'Turn the Music Louder (Rumble)', a collaboration with Tinie Tempah and KDA.
She said: "It was so fun. I was like, 'I want to wear 10 wigs!'
"And I love patterned pieces, so the dresses were perfect.
"The fashion still had a slight sporty element though. I'm a bit of a tomboy at heart."
And Katy is stunned the track reached number one in the UK.
She told LOOK magazine: "Me and Tinie have both been in the studio for the past year and had a chance to put something out there.
"It's the perfect mash-up of vocals.
"It's been amazing - my first number one. I beat One Direction!"

Newton Faulkner made his new LP 'Human Love' for festivals.
The 'Dream Catch Me' hitmaker is excited about going on tour with a full band for the first time after years of playing on his own and promises his live shows are going to "step up a notch".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about his new album, he said: "I wrote it for festivals, so live wise, it is going to step up a notch. Obviously I played on my own for six or seven years, so now I've got a band. I've got a drummer, I've got my brother playing loads of stuff, I think he is playing nine instruments."
But speaking prior to the release of 'Human Love' - which was out on Friday (20.11.15) - the flame-haired singer said he was trying to "put a lid" on his "excited" feelings towards the record because he can never gauge how it's going to be received.
He added: "I am trying to kind of put a lid on my own happiness. I don't want to get too excited before it comes out - just in case. I am really pleased. The first handful of reviews that I have seen. People seem to like it. It is weird because you make something over a period of time and you have no idea when you finish if anyone is going to get it."

Adele was scared of "looking into the future" with her new album '25'.
The 'Hello' hitmaker - who released her third studio LP on Friday (21.11.15) - says she has been focusing "massively" on how to move forward with her career, something she didn't think she'd have to do for at least another decade.
She said: "My whole life, even this comeback - because that's what it is - is built around my kid. One of the scariest things about my new album is that, for the first time in my life, I'm looking into the future, into the next 20 years. Before it was all about what you'd do on Friday, plans for the weekend.
"I'm moving forward in a massive way, in a way I didn't think I'd be doing for another ten years.
"But I'm also looking back at my past, and deciding what to take with me."
And another scary prospect for the singer is the idea of getting "lonely" after performing on stage.
She told USAToday.com: "There's something quite lonely about the idea of performing for people and then going home on your own."
However, the 27-year-old star has vowed to perform a string of shows, especially in America where she had to cut her 2012 tour short due to a vocal hemorrhage.
She previously said: "I will do as many US shows at least as I did last time, which wasn't that many, so don't get too excited."

Rita Ora claims Prince has doves "flying around his studio".
The 24-year-old singer is currently putting the finishing touches to her second studio album, which is expected to be released in January 2016, and she's been working with Prince at his Paisley Park studios on songs for both of their records.
She said: "Yeah you love him don't you! Yeah he is on the album. He is writing with me on the new record and I did some stuff with him on his album.
"Amazing story though, I went to Paisley Park, which is his studios, and I looked around and I thought I was hearing things. I start hearing birds singing. One of my favourite songs is 'Doves Cry' so I think it's amazing, and no word of a lie he had doves flying around in the studio. S***ting all over the place.
"It was amazing. They weren't crying though. They were very happy doves."
But it hasn't been an easy road for the 'Body On Me' hitmaker, who had to re-write her album as she made it with former love interest Calvin Harris and didn't want to release something that was "pretend".
She explained: "I recorded an album previously with somebody I loved personally and then it kind of fell through and then I just didn't want to release that music because it didn't relate to me any more. It didn't make any sense for me to pretend because that is not nice to pretend to my fans."
And Rita says she's most looking forward to being an "artist" again and can't wait to go back on tour.
Speaking on Friday's (20.11.15) episode of 'Alan Carr Chatty Man' on Channel 4, she said: "It's like torture. Everything happens for a reason and now I have some amazing records with some amazing people so I cant wait to go back on tour and finish the show and just get back in to artist mode."

Sir Elton John was "gutted" his record label refused his latest album.
The 'Tiny Dancer' hitmaker thought his initial concept for his record was "f***ing good" and admitted he was upset with Capitol Records for a week after they rejected it, even though he found a new label to release it through.
He explained: "I don't know. I know if it was politics or whatever. I was gutted, I have to say. I thought, "This is a f***ing good record, and I can't understand why they don't want to put it out.
"But they've done me a favour. I was so upset for about a week, and then I landed on Island's doorstep with David Massey and they are so thrilled. They have a lot of young artists on their label. I am, by far, the oldest artist they have. They have The Killers, who are friends of mine.
"I'm 68 years old, and I've made 33 studio albums. All I'm asking for at this age is for them to like it, to be enthusiastic and to do their best. I can ask for no more."
But while he's confident in his latest record 'Wonderful Crazy Night' he doesn't expect it to sell a "million" copies.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: "I have my own management company. I follow the charts. I know everything about the business. I know where I stand as far as selling albums. I'm not going to sell a million albums. I'm not expecting to."

Coldplay have announced their 2016 'A Head Full of Dreams' tour.
The British band have revealed they will head out on the road next year with performances across Europe and Latin America, with dates in North America also set to be announced shortly.
The four-piece group will kick off the tour in Buenos Aires in March before travelling through the continent, arriving in Europe in May with two nights at London's Wembley Stadium in June.
The series of shows will be their first since their 'Mylo Xyloto Tour' in 2011/12, having decided not to play many shows following the release of their last album 'Ghost Stories'.
Frontman Chris Martin said: "I think that not going on tour with 'Ghost Stories' was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone's desire to go around the world and play music. 'A Head Full Of Dreams' was written as a record to be performed live. We can't wait to do that."
The new record will be released on December 4 and has been preceded by their new single 'Adventure of a Lifetime'.
Tickets for the European shows go on sale next Friday (27.11.15) at 9.30am GMT for the UK performances, and at 10am CET for all other shows.

Coldplay have announced their 2016 'A Head Full of Dreams' tour.

Mumford & Sons have joined the Barclaycard British Summer Time Hyde Park 2016 line-up.
The British folk rockers - who released their third album 'Wilder Mind' earlier this year - will headline the festival on July 8, with support from Alabama Shakes and Wolf Alice.
Announcing the news, the band said: "Hyde Park for us: sacrificing hopes and dreams at the altar of Neil Young; being transported to another dimension by The National; supporting Arcade Fire (the best band in the world); playing alongside our mates The Vaccines; accidentally seeing Black Eyed Peas; wishing we were at Kylie. What a place. And this time we get to headline and pick a bill of sick artists to play with us. Alabama Shakes! Wolf Alice! Gentlewomen of the Road! We're travelling all over at the moment, so having this massive gig to look forward to next summer, right in the heart of our home city, is just awesome."
The show - for which tickets go on sale at 9am next Friday (27.11.15) - is the second announced for the 2016 string of performances, following Take That on July 9.

Rihanna will reportedly release her new album 'Anti' next Friday (27.11.15).
The 'FourFiveSeconds' hitmaker has not yet confirmed the release, but several insiders have revealed she plans to put the album out to compete with her ex-boyfriend's new record 'Royalty', released on the same day.
An insider told The Sun newspaper:"Everyone expects it to be out next Friday. Strategically it's clever as it means she avoids a chart clash with Adele and Coldplay.
"She'll have no problem competing with Chris."
The 27-year-old singer also shared a link on her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Thursday (19.11.15) to a new website, ANTIdiaRy.com, which has a teaser video of the album showing a sequence of shots of the star with a distorted audio file.
The star has teamed up with Samsung to release the new record in a £25 million deal for the website, which sends mobile phone users to a cryptic message, which reads: "You'll know when it's time."
And Rihanna also tweeted how overjoyed she is to share details of her album.
She wrote: "Excited to share this with you!! #ANTIdiaRy (sic)"
More information on 'Anti' is expected to be announced during Monday's (23.11.15) American Music Awards.

Justin Bieber has made a last-minute Snapchat plea to get his album to number one in the UK.
The 21-year-old singer released his new album 'Purpose' last week on the same day as One Direction's 'Made In The A.M.' and he has taken to the photo and video-sharing app to beg his fans to support him.
In the desperate plea, he said: "Bottom line is I'm trying to get that number one in the UK. So anything you guys can do to help me out with that..."
The album at the top spot will be announced later today (20.11.15) but in the mid-week charts, revealed on Monday (16.11.15), the 'What Do You Mean?' singer was 14,000 copies behind One Direction.
Meanwhile, he's expected to reach the top spot in the US Billboard charts, and is on course to hit number one in the UK singles charts with 'Sorry'.
