Kodaline writing for new LP

Kodaline have already written "15 or 20 songs" for their next album.
The band only released their sophomore record 'Coming Up for Air' in February but they are already hard at work on their next LP even though they are unsure of the quality of the tracks they have already created.
Asked how far they are into their next record, drummer Vinny May exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's probably like 15 or 20 songs while we've been on the road, between the two tours and the festival dates we've been doing. They're not all great, most of them will probably be really s**t but one or two of them might be good."
The 'High Hopes' hitmakers are so desperate to get their third record polished off they have even brought a studio on the road with them so they can make music while touring.
He explained: "We constantly work and write songs on the road, it's kind of a never ending cycle. Whenever we're on tour we always have a little studio set-up in the back of the tour bus and we can do demos and ideas for songs."
The folk rockers - also including members Steve Garrigan, Mark Prendergast and Jason Boland - confessed they might take longer creating their next record though, having had such a quick turnaround between their latest album and their debut in 2013, 'In a Perfect World'.
He added: "We might take a little longer, but we're so honoured that this is what we get to do, so we're not really keen on taking too many breaks, we want to keep things going because this is what we love doing. So we might take a little longer to make the record but we're not going to stop."
Kodaline were speaking ahead of their performance at Lynx Black Space, the understated social escape in the heart of Shoreditch. Find out more at http://www.lynxblackspace.com/

Ed Sheeran impressed with Brit band Rixton

Ed Sheeran said he needs to "up his game" after watching his support band Rixton.
The 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker was so impressed with the British band's opener in Kansas City that he took them to the pub afterward to congratulate the group and confess that he was inspired by their stage antics to improve his ownact.
Rixton front man Jake Roche, 22, told BANG Showbiz: "He was watching us perform from the side and was said he was really impressed.
"Afterward we all went to the pub and he said that he usually never gets nervous about performing on stage, you know. But after watching us he thinks he might have to up his game a bit."
The 'Me and My Broken Heart' singer - who is known for his dance moves and posing for fan pictures while singing - was stunned when the flame-haired singer got in touch directly with the band to support him in the US.
He recalled: "Usually when you do these things it has to go through both of your managers ... but Ed literally just sent me a text out of the blue and said 'What are you doing on these dates?' And I replied saying we are recording in the studio, then he asked me if we would want to go out there and support him on tour in America. We were like 'yeah of course' and it was just incredible you know?
"Going on that tour was amazing for us because we want to play to an older crowd and Ed Sheeran is great because he has worked so hard to build it up."
He went on: "Longevity is a good word for it, that's what we want, you know that fan base that grows with us, we don't want to always be a teen band and we want to be playing for years to come."
Rixton are playing at Thorpe's Park Island Beats on Saturday August 8.

Foo Fighter’s reschedule three UK gigs for September

Foo Fighters have announced three new UK tour dates.
The 'All My Life' hitmakers - Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett - were forced to scrap their shows at Wembley Stadium, as well as their headline appearance at Glastonbury festival, last month after Dave broke his leg, but will now perform in Milton Kenynes and Edinburgh in September.
In a statement released on the band's website, Dave has promised to give fans "a night to remember for the rest of your lives."
The statement read: "You have always stood by our band, and we will always stand by you. Like I say at every show, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for you guys. And I mean that. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I will do everything I can to come back and give you a night to remember for the rest of your lives as soon as possible."
Joining the group in Milton Keynes will be Iggy Pop, while Royal Blood will support in Edinburgh.
Wembley ticket holders will be given the chance to obtain tickets for the new dates from Wednesday (15.07.15), two days before they go on general sale.

The rescheduled UK tour dates are:
September 5 - Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes Bowl
September 6 - Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes Bowl
September 8 - Edinburgh, Scotland, Murrayfield Stadium

Lulu reminisces at Cornbury Festival

Lulu reminisced about her marriage to Maurice Gibb as she took to the stage at Cornbury Festival.
The 'Shout' hitmaker - who was married to the Bee Gees star for four years - told the crowd at the Oxfordshire festival on Saturday (11.07.15) that she believed the couple were "invincible" in the early days of their relationship.
She said: "I thought we were invincible but it appeared we were not.
"I remember we'd been working with famous pop stars and we were travelling all over the world and all the people we met on that journey. And this song was a huge hit."
After performing a beautiful rendition of 'Got To Get A Message To Her' by the Bee Gees, the 66-year-old singer excited the crowd with a number of fan favourites including 'Shout', 'To Sir With Love' and 'Relight My Fire' in a fantastic and energetic set.
Other notable performers included crooner Sir Tom Jones, who brought crowds to the main stage in droves. And despite the typical British rainy weather, it did not dampen spirits as revellers partied to the 75-year-old star's biggest hits including 'Sex Bomb', 'It's Not Unusual' and 'Mama Told Me Not To Come'. Earlier that evening, boy band Blue warmed up the crowd with a number of their biggest hits, despite being an hour and a half late on stage.
On the Sunday afternoon (12.07.15), along with The Trevor Horn Band, Seal provided entertainment to the rowdiest crowd of the festival and when he jumped off the stage to interact with fans by the barrier, his supporters flocked to the front for a chance to come face to face with their idol.

Kylie Minogue making Christmas album

Kylie Minogue is recording a Christmas album.
The 47-year-old star is believed to be halfway through making the LP, which will be her 13th studio album, set to be released on a one-album deal through Warner/Parlophone.
A source revealed: "Kylie is halfway through recording it. It's believed all the tracks will be disco-influenced."
The 'I Should Be So Lucky' hitmaker - whose last album 'Kiss Me Once' performed poorly when released last year - recently parted ways with her record label Parlophone following a partnership of over 15 years but is hoping she can return to the charts with her latest collection, which will feature a variety of covers and original tunes.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "It's likely the album will include a mixture of festive classics and even some original material.
"She wants to take her time on a new release but can't be away from the charts for long, so a Christmas album is the obvious choice."
The news comes after Chic legend Nile Rodgers confirmed he was working with the Australian beauty, who originally kick-started her career in the soap opera 'Neighbours'.
Last month he said: "Working with so many people is its own reward. I've got a thing I'm doing with Kylie Minogue and Elton John."

Adele postponing album to have baby

Adele's third album could be postponed so she can have another baby.
The 'Rolling in the Deep' hitmaker - who already has two-year-old son Angelo with her long-term partner Simon Konecki - is reportedly eager to have another tot, throwing the release of her long-awaited third album into uncertainty.
A pal of the singer said: "Adele's made it clear she wants at least one more kid and is starting to get broody.
"She goes through phases of being completely inspired by her third album and then just wanting to have more kids and to live a normal life."
The 27-year-old star released her second record, '21', in 2011, but has stayed silent about plans for her next LP, which was rumoured to have an autumn release date.
However, a source close to the singer continued to say her family takes precedence, despite the fact fans of the 10-time Grammy Award winner are desperate to hear new music.
The source told the Daily Star newspaper: "While most people wait for the right time for a baby to fit into their life, Adele is pretty forthright in her view that if and when she gets pregnant again her career will have to fit around her family."
Meanwhile, it was previously reported the mother-of-one had been writing and recording with Genesis rocker Phil Collins, having previously blanked him.
He said: "She gave me a piece of music to finish and, at first, I didn't know whether I had failed the audition as I didn't hear back from her."
However, a source later added: "Over the past few months, Phil has been working on the tracks once again.
"Adele put all her work on hold for a while, so it wasn't anything personal. It was just delayed."

Avicii: I made 600 versions of Chris Martin’s track

Avicii recorded 600 versions of a song with Chris Martin before the final cut was made.
The 'Wake Me Up' hit-maker, 25, was called upon to produce the electronic track 'Heaven' for the Coldplay front-man and revealed that the 38-year-old 'Paradise' singer is hard to please.
He said: "Chris is one of the most artistic people I've ever met. And a perfectionist. We did like, 600 versions of the song and still he's asking me to tweak the vocals.
But the superstar DJ - who reportedly made £28 million on gigs across the globe last year - isn't fazed by the pressure and is grateful that he is being recognised as a musician as well as a producer and songwriter.
He said: "The most gratification I get is acknowledgment from musicians who know about song-writing. Chart success is one thing. But it wasn't until recently - honestly - that I really believed I was musical.
"It took other people to tell me - Chris, Nile Rodgers, Mac David. That's been my biggest dream come true."
Meanwhile, the Swedish DJ could be on the look out for a new British collaboration as he says he is in love with the accent.
He told The Sunday Times: "I adore British accents. Your way of speaking is insane. You don't say 'dance', you say 'daah-nce'. What's not to love about that?"

Liam Gallagher recording LP with Lee Mavers

Liam Gallagher is working with The La's' Lee Mavers.
The former Oasis star teamed up with the 52-year-old Merseyside songwriter two months ago and they are reportedly planning on releasing their new music in the form of a joint album.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Despite all the madness and excitement that surrounds Liam's personal life, he has always been very serious about his music and doesn't want to be retired or left waiting for his brother to decide he wants to bring Oasis back.
"Liam has always been a fan of The La's and Lee's music and first became friends with him when The La's supported Oasis in 1994 as they exploded into the charts.
"Liam and Lee share a lot of similar ideas about music and although Liam has had his fair share of success with his own self-penned songs, his voice and swagger combined with Lee's undoubted ear for a chorus, could create something very special."
The record would be the 42-year-old rocker's first studio release since Beady Eye - who split up last October - put out their second album 'BE' in 2013.
While Lee - who penned the hit indie anthem 'There She Goes' - has failed to recreate the success of The La's sole studio record, released in 1990, Liam has previously admitted he's a huge fan of the musician.
He said: "Lee Mavers is a f**king dude, man. He's set in his ways and I f**king love him. That's his genius, innit?
"Lee is a moody little f**ker but you need people like him every now and again."
