Busted don’t have record deal

Busted don't have a record deal.
The pop trio announced their reunion earlier this week with Charlie Simpson re-joining his old bandmates James Bourne and Matt Willis, and although they're planning to record new music they haven't yet been signed.
Asked if they've secured a deal, Charlie confessed: "That's still all up in the air - we haven't really thought that far ahead.
"The main focus is getting the songs recorded."
The 'Year 3000' hitmakers - who will tour the UK next year - were signed to Island Records during their original run from 2000 to 2005, during which they released an eponymous debut in 2002 and 'A Present For Everyone' in 2003.
However, this time around they're considering going it alone instead of getting involved with a major company.
Matt said: "So far we do not have a record deal, but we don't know whether we're going to sign one or not. We've just been focussed on the tour."
Charlie added to Digitalspy.co.uk: "We might do it independently, or we might not."
Singer Charlie, 30, previously revealed he'd been persuaded to get back together with the band after James played him some new material.
He explained: "James came round to mine April of this year and said, 'I want to play you these two songs to see what you think of them'. He played them to me and I was like, 'Dude that is f***ing awesome'.
"He basically said, 'What do you think of us going to the studio for a few days and hanging out as the three of us being creative and see what happens?'
"He had a friend called Eric who owned a studio in Philadelphia and so we got on a plane and went there and we spent all week in the studio."

Alice Cooper to headline Stone Free Festival

Alice Cooper is to headline the Stone Free Festival at The O2 in London in June 2016.
The 67-year-old rock icon will be among the headline attractions at the new music festival, which will feature two 12-hour days of classic rock music, with a host of live performances being spread over multiple stages on June 18 and 19.
Looking forward to the exclusive show, Alice - who is married to Sheryl Goddard - said: "Coming to the UK is always like coming home for us, fans in the UK are always high energy, always there.
"Headlining the very first Stone Free Festival at London's The O2 in June next year is an example of why we feel so welcome. It will be my only performance in the UK next year, so that makes it even more special. And as always with my show you can expect the unexpected!"
Also headlining the festival is prog rock star Rick Wakeman, who is set to perform a world exclusive performance of his 'The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table' album for the first time since 1975.
The 12 million selling LP is based on the legend of England's medieval monarch King Arthur and Wakeman can't wait to perform the concert album again.
Wakeman said: "After the success of the 'Journey To The Centre Of The Earth' shows last year, I'm over the moon to have the opportunity to perform 'King Arthur' for the first time since 1975 with an orchestra and choir. It's going to be wonderful!"
Contrary to earlier reports, Alice Cooper will not be joining Rick Wakeman on stage. They are in fact headlining the festival on different days.
Day and Weekend and Rock Royalty tickets for Stone Free Festival will be on general sale at Stonefreefestival.com on November 20.

Coldplay, Gwen Stefani and more for American Music Awards 2015

Gwen Stefani’s new LP is a ‘break-up record’

Gwen Stefani's new album is a "break-up record".
The 46-year-old singer - who is currently divorcing her husband Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage - is putting the finishing touches to her third studio album which she admitted has been influenced by the heartbreak she's faced while splitting from the father of her three children.
The 'What You Waiting For?' hitmaker confessed the new album and lead single 'Used To Love You' are especially pertinent as they are being released two decades after her band No Doubt's third album 'Tragic Kingdom', which was inspired by the end of her seven-year relationship with the band's bassist Tony Kanal.
Speaking about 'Used To Love You', she said: "I didn't even know the single was coming out. I promise you that it was very last-minute. It's weird because 'Used to Love You' came out the exact same week as the 20-year anniversary of [No Doubt's] 'Tragic Kingdom', which just to me is like, 'What are the chances of that?'
"I would consider it a break-up record. Both of them were. It's like the two people I ... I only had two boyfriends. I wrote two records about them. You know what I mean? It's just weird.
"It just makes me believe in God and my journey. My cross to bear was to go through these heartbreaks and write these songs and help people."
And despite the emotional nature of her new single she insisted she feels "honoured" to be able to release it.
She told San Diego's 93.3 radio station: "My truth is 'Used to Love You'. That's the song. That's what I said, and I feel really fine about sharing that, and I feel honoured to share it."

Justin Bieber praises mentor Kanye West

Justin Bieber got comeback advice from Kanye West.
The two became close when Justin asked for his advice on new album 'Purpose' and Justin was impressed by how much the rapper cared.
He told NME magazine: "Out of anyone in the industry who is creative and I see eye to eye with, he really gets me. His advice is always just, 'make music that's so good people can't hate on it'. I didn't wanna bore him or waste his time. So I was like, 'Can I play you these songs?' and he was like, 'I wanna hear everything.' To hear him say that, it stuck with me. It just showed that he cared."
However, Justin previously revealed that a planned collaboration between him and Kanye did not work out.
He said: "Kanye was a part of the process, but doesn't have any records on the album. The Kanye song I did, we never finished it. It just was kind of in a different direction.
"I mean opinions of creativity are just opinions. At the end of the day, sometimes their opinion's not going to match up with my opinion. I get their opinion just to see, but sometimes it doesn't."

Brian May: Playing a festival will ‘open doors’

Brian May thinks signing up to headline the Isle of Wight Festival 2016 will "open doors" for Queen and Adam Lambert.
The 68-year-old guitarist will close the event with his group on June 12 next year and admits that whilst they have never done a festival together before, they are ready to put on a "great show".
Speaking at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards, which he attended with his wife Anita Dobson, he told BANG Showbiz: "I'm so excited to be playing it. The Isle of Wight festival to us is of great resonance because of who played there - it's The Who, it's Jimi Hendrix, it's Bob Dylan. To be part of that is great, to be asked is fantastic and we just need to make sure we put on a great show.
"We've been asked to play a lot of festivals and we haven't done it, I guess because we've always wanted control over what we do. But maybe this has opened the door."
However, Brian is a little worried how the band will cram all of their hits into the set.
He added: "The problem with Isle of Wight is how do we get all the hits in. We shall see. It's a very exciting prospect for us because we've never done a festival before."

Queen named Living Legends at Classic Rock Awards

Queen were named 'living legends' at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards.
The 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hitmaker's were honoured with the award tonight (11.11.15) at the star-studded ceremony at The Roundhouse in Camden, London.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz on the red carpet, Brian May said: "These accolades still mean a lot; that people care enough to vote for us to win after all these years, it's incredible."
Other winners on the night included AC/DC, who were crowned Band Of The Year, whilst Led Zeppelin was handed Reissue Of The Year.
Jimmy Page shared: "I'm getting rewarded tonight for three years of work. It's taken that amount because the releases were in four steps. I wanted to do the reissues because I knew I had in my archive old gems of material that spanned the whole of Led Zeppelin's career and I really wanted to put out a companion disc to each of the original albums, in effect it doubles up the amount of material that's out there."
Album Of The Year went to Iron Maiden's 'The Book Of Souls' whilst Europe were given the Comeback Award.

Alice Cooper joins Rick Wakeman to perform King Arthur album

Rick Wakeman will be joined by Alice Cooper next year to perform his 1975 LP 'The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table'.
The third studio album from the keyboard player - based on the legend of England's medieval monarch King Arthur - will be recreated live and in full with the help of the 'Poison' rocker, when the pair headline the first ever Stone Free Festival at The O2 in London in June 2016.
And the 66-year-old musician is delighted he's getting the opportunity to perform the concept album again.
He said: "After the success of the 'Journey To The Centre Of The Earth' shows last year, I'm over the moon to have the opportunity to perform 'King Arthur' for the first time since 1975 with an orchestra and choir. It's going to be wonderful."
The iconic LP contained prog rock classics such as 'Arthur' and 'The Last Battle', which is over nine minutes long, and was written after Rick survived three heart attacks at the age of 25.
Alice, 67, is thrilled to be joining his old pal on stage.
The singer said: "Coming to the UK is always like coming home for us, fans in the UK are always high energy, always there. Headlining the very first Stone Free Festival at London's The O2 in June next year is an example of why we feel so welcome. It will be my only performance in the UK next year, so that makes it even more special. And as always with my show you can expect the unexpected!"

Justin Bieber announces 2016 Purpose World Tour

Justin Bieber has announced he is going on a world tour.
The 21-year-old pop sensation revealed on Wednesday (11.11.15) he will sing all over the globe next year in support of his new album 'Purpose' and he will kick off proceedings on March 9, 2016 with tickets going on sale next week.
Bieber announced his tour during an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', saying: "I'm actually going on tour. This was the only thing I had to remember, and I don't remember it.
"You can go to my website. What am I doing? I'm here to promote an album and a tour."
The 21-year-old singer has already released three tracks from the album - set for release on this Friday (13.11.15) - 'What Do You Mean', 'Sorry' and 'Mark My Words' with the latter two songs dealing with his relationship with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
He revealed: "There's a lot of stuff that reminds me of her. In relationships, you see something on TV and you're like remember when we used to watch this."
If Bieber's last trip around the planet is anything to go by, the 'Promise World Tour' is set to be a lucrative venture for him.
The musician's 'Believe Tour' kicked off in 2012, had seven legs, spanned 15 months and featured over 150 concerts dates, and banked a reputed $209.2 million.
