Janet Jackson apologises to fans over Instagram block

Janet Jackson has apologised to fans who had their Instagram accounts shut down after posting footage from her 'Unbreakable World Tour'.
The pop superstar reached out after it was reported yesterday (21.10.15) that some users of the photo sharing app had their accounts deactivated for uploading videos and images of Janet performing at her concerts.
Janet has now released a statement on Twitter where she explained that posting long video clips of her concerts causes a "contractual problem" but that it was never her "intention" for the accounts to be closed.
The 'Scream' singer also encouraged her fans to keep uploading short videos and photos from her shows.
She wrote: "Hey you guys, I have been listening ... I love and appreciate my fans. I want you to know that I enjoy watching the short video clips of how you are 'Burning It Up' at the 'Unbreakable' shows. Please keep posting them. My team is passionate about protecting the intellectual property we are creating for the tour and possible future projects. It was never their intention, acting on my behalf, to have social media accounts removed. Permitting the use of long clips does present a contractual problem for these projects."
Janet, 49, added that she loves her fans and wouldn't be where she is today without them and assured them they could still share content from the tour.
She continued: "I hope you understand. I trust the fans will use their short recordings for their own memories and to share on their social media networks of choice. I have asked my team to change their approach and allow you to engage socially with these videos. I know I wouldn't be here without the love I stand on."

Ben Haenow wants Ed Sheeran collaboration

Ben Haenow wants to write with Ed Sheeran after rejecting a song he penned for him.
The 30-year-old singer - whose eponymous album is out on November 13 - turned down a song by the 'Thinking Out Loud' crooner because it didn't "fit in" with the rest of the collection but he definitely wants to team up with Ed properly in the future.
He told BANG Showbiz: "The reason behind it really was because we felt like we had songs on there which got across my story, rather than just taking songs off other people. I'm absolutely honoured that he sent a song through, and it could be one of the worst ideas we've ever had, but realistically, with regards to what we had as the shape of the album, it just didn't really fit in there. To re-jig an album over one song wouldn't be great."
However, 'The X Factor' winner is eager to meet up with Ed to write together when their schedules finally align because he is confident they could make something great.
He added: "I'd be honoured to work with him in the future. The whole point is, I kind of wanted to get into the studio with Ed and write something with him, that's what we wanted to do.
"But he's been off in America doing his stuff, we're on different time scales."
Meanwhile, Ben has unveiled the tracklisting and artwork for his LP, which is out on November 13 on Syco.
The album contains 14 tracks and the singer has worked with a host of top songwriters, such as Amy Wadge, JR Rotem and Iain James, to create the record.

'Ben Haenow' tracklisting:
01. Second Hand Heart (featuring Kelly Clarkson)
02. Slamming Doors (Written with Amy Wadge)
03. All Yours (Written with JR Rotem)
04. Start Again (Written with Steve Robson & Iain James)
05. Lions
06. Testify
07. Make It Back To Me (Written with Amy Wadge)
08. Way Back When (Written with Stephen Kozmeniuk)
09. Brother Edvard Forre Erfjord, Henrik Michaelsen, Tom Havelock, Ben Haenow
10. Something I Need
11. One Night (Written with Red Triangle - George Tizzard & Rick Parkhouse)
12. Ready For You (Written with Anne Preven)
13. Greatest Mistake (Written with Ed Drewett & Tim Powell)
14. Every Tear You Cry (Written with Dan Gautreau)

Rod Stewart now a ‘open book’

Rod Stewart was too "busy being a rock star" to spend time with his children.
The 'Maggie May' hitmaker admits he was unable to pen tracks about his kids 20 years ago because he was "writing about dirty weekends" but says now he's older, he's happy to make his heart an "open book".
He shared: "Twenty years ago, I couldn't have written a song about putting my son to bed. I was so busy being a rock star writing about dirty weekends that it wouldn't have felt right.
"Now I'm of the age where I can sing about whatever I want. I suppose the older you get, the more your heart becomes an open book."
And the 70-year-old rocker also opened up about family life with his third wife Penny Lancaster and their children Aiden, four, and Alastair, nine.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Well, actually it drives me up the wall sometimes. The four-year-old has got the devil in his system. Probably because he's seen Spiderman, he climbs up everywhere. A year ago he was dressing up as Mary Poppins and if I show him pictures of that now, he gets so embarrassed.
"I feel sorry for Penny sometimes. Last night, I was really stroppy, my elder son was stroppy, the little one was stroppy and she was just a jolly person trying to make everybody happy.
"It's funny how kids take it out on their mums. My ten-year-old shouts at his mum and she does everything for him. She blew up his Fifa 16 on the iPad because it's American and she tried to plug it in here in England."

Janet Jackson bans Instagram use on Unbreakable World Tour?

Janet Jackson has reportedly banned people from posting videos and photos of her concerts on Instagram.
Several fans have received emails with a message saying "a third party reported that the content violates their copyright" and other social media users have had their accounts suspended, according to The Guardian newspaper.
And one fan told the New York Post newspaper: "Five emails from Instagram about the five videos I had posted. It seems like Miss Jackson's [legal] team is on fire. What a shame they don't understand the times we live in."
However, the publication reported that the photo sharing app claimed people's accounts were being deactivated due to a "bug" and was not done on purpose or for legal reasons.
A spokesperson for the company said: "We have identified a bug that resulted in the removal of accounts that shouldn't have been removed.
"We have fixed the bug and are in the process of restoring the impacted accounts."
The singer - who is currently on her 'Unbreakable World Tour' - will bring her live show to the UK in March 2016.
A representative for the singer is yet to respond to the claims.

Beyoncé steals show at Tidal X concert

Beyoncé stole the show at the Tidal X concert in New York on Tuesday night (20.10.15) by duetting with husband Jay Z and Nicki Minaj.
Jay Z hosted the charity show at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn to celebrate the online music streaming service reaching one million subscribers and the event was streamed on Tidal.

If that wasn't enough, Queen B then joined 'Anaconda' rapper Nicki for two songs they've collaborated on, a highly energetic and raunchy performance of 'Feeling Myself' and 'Flawless', in which they wore sexy leotards flaunting their famous booty's.
Jay Z himself also performed with his contemporaries Rick Ross on their track 'F**kWithMeYouKnowIGotIt', and joined Lil Wayne for 'Hello Brooklyn'.

Rammstein to headline Download Festival 2016

Rammstein will headline Download Festival 2016 alongside Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath.
The German hellraisers have announced they will play Europe's legendary rock and metal music festival's main stage on Friday 10 June at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England.
In a statement, the band - Till Lindemann and Flake Lorenz, Christoph Schneider, Paul Landers, Richard Z. Kruspe and Oliver Riedel - said: "Download is a festival; it is not a moon landing"
The industrial Goth masters will bring their off the scale pyrotechnics and techno production back to Donington, where they played back in 2013.
Ozzy Osbourne's band Black Sabbath will close the main stage on Saturday June 11.
Ozzy said: "Download is my absolute favourite summer festival. It's always like coming home. See you all there!
And Iron Maiden will bring the festival to a spectacular close on Sunday 12 June.
The heavy metallers will fly in to East Midlands Airport on their Boeing 747-400 jumbo jet Ed Force One, piloted by Bruce Dickinson and carrying band, crew, stage production and equipment over 55,000 miles around the world, visiting 35 countries on 'The Book Of Souls World Tour'.
Bruce recently said: "Download is a very special place for us. Not just because it's always great to play on home turf but because there's a truly unique vibe there, it's the very heart of England and of Metal, so a fitting place for Iron Maiden!
"The crowd is always fiercely passionate and the whole band feeds off that famous Donington energy. We aim to deliver a really memorable show for our fans to close the 2016 Festival."

Example’s money moan

Example has moaned he doesn't make enough money from his albums.
The 33-year-old rapper has decided to try acting because he doesn't make enough royalties from his records and no longer has the same appetite for touring which used to bank him serious cash because he doesn't like to be away from his wife Erin McNaught and their nine-month-old son Evander for long periods.
Example - who has released five albums - told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I don't make any money from records. I make money from tours. The problem is I don't want to tour any more. I don't want to be doing it now I have a wife and kid."
Instead he will focus on his movie career as music-making has become tireless, but he admitted changing career is a "scary" prospect.
He previously said: "Doing music had almost become boring for me. I used to get excited, but after my sixth album and thousands of gigs, I needed a new injection.
"Film has given me something like that. Music was no longer scary - with acting I was scared.
"In music I had worked so hard. I had almost pushed myself to the brink. I was doing my gigs almost on autopilot. I needed to challenge my mind again. My plan is to do two films a year for the next few years. I don't expect to set the world on fire with my performance, but I just want people to see that I can hold my own."

Mark Feehily ‘rescued’ by Boy George

Mark Feehily was "rescued" by Boy George.
The former Westlife singer admits he took it hard when the band split in 2012 but the 'Karma Chameleon' hitmaker was able to pull him out of "genuine depression".
He shared: "I was lying in my bed for days on end, genuinely depressed for a long time. It's nothing to be ashamed of but it's still not easy to say out loud. I was low - I was losing it for a bit."
Trying his luck after the pair swapped numbers at a chance meeting, the 35-year-old singer decided to send Boy George a clip of him covering a track from the star's musical 'Taboo'.
He explained to The Sun newspaper: "I was expecting him to come back and say it was s**t, 'How dare you'. But he sent me this huge, long email back saying, 'Oh my God, I'm sitting in my kitchen crying, listening to your voice. You've got an amazing voice'.
"It gave me that big boost of confidence to go into my solo career. If someone like him can think that - then f**k it, I'm going to go for it. He rescued me from the brink."
