Daniel Radcliffe wants to play Robin

Daniel Radcliffe wants to play Batman's sidekick Robin.
The 'Harry Potter' star believes he would be the "perfect" choice to take on the role of the superhero sidekick in the rumoured upcoming 'Batman' reboot starring Ben Affleck.
When asked which movie franchise he would consider starring in, he told Buzzfeed: "Batman. If they reboot that again, I'll do that, too.
"It's happening isn't it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin. I'm perfect."
Affleck, 41 - who is to make his debut as the Caped Crusader in 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' next year - will reprise the role in 'The Justice League' in 2017 and it's now been reported that he's landed his own solo outing, set for 2019.
According to Latino Review, the film is speculatively called 'The Batman' and is being planned for four years' time because of Affleck's busy schedule.
Meanwhile, Radcliffe, 24, is also said to be interested in joining the legendary 'James Bond' franchise as an "evil mastermind".
A source said previously: "Daniel thinks he would be an excellent villain in the Bond films. He loves the franchise but admires the villains as much as Bond.
"He feels he could appear as a modern bad guy, an evil mastermind who wants to take down MI5."

Tom Cruise to make Star Wars cameo?

Tom Cruise could make a cameo in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.
The 51-year-old star is close friends with the film's director J.J. Abrams - who helmed 'Mission: Impossible III' - and the pair reportedly met over the weekend to discuss a role for the A-lister.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Tom has been in London for over a week and met up with J.J. and some other people from 'Star Wars' at the weekend.
"On Saturday evening five of them met up for dinner and drinks at the Belgravia Hotel. J.J. loves working with Tom whenever he gets the chance."
The sci-fi production could use some star power after leading actor Harrison Ford, who reprises his role as Han Solo from the original trilogy, was rushed into surgery last week following a freak accident on set.
The 71-year-old actor is recuperating after breaking his leg and won't be available to film for several months.
The source added: "Losing Harrison is going to set things back a little scheduling wise and there's some time to play around with."
Cruise recently starred in a sci-fi summer blockbuster 'Edge of Tomorrow', which earned critical acclaim, and is next set to film the fifth instalment of the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise.
'Star Wars' is currently filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England.
It's rumoured 'Looper' director Rian Johnson could be in line to write and direct the follow-ups, 'Episode VIII' and 'Episode IX'.

Kelsey Grammer wants X-Men return

Kelsey Grammer wants to reprise his role as Beast in a future 'X-Men' film.
The 59-year-old actor made a brief cameo as the ape-like mutant superhero at the end of the Marvel franchise's most recent instalment, 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', and would jump at the chance to play the part again.
He admitted to Collider.com: "I hope to do another. I hope they find some way to come up with a new story that involves Beast in my timeline."
Grammer, who first appeared as Beast in 'X-Men: The Last Stand', revealed he took the initiative to call director Bryan Singer and asked to make a return because he had such fun filming the 2006 movie.
He said: "Actually I called Bryan. I bumped into Hugh Jackman and he said, 'Oh you're gonna be in another X-Men, mate!' and I said, 'No I'm not, I don't know anything about it.'
"So I made a couple of inquiries, got a hold of the script, found out that it's primarily dealing with the past and that timeline I don't have a place in, but I saw that at the end there was this coda where he made an appearance. I said, 'Listen, I really want to be involved,' so Bryan arranged for it and I had a lovely time."

Brad Pitt buys $37k bike for stuntman

Brad Pitt splashed out $37,000 on a motorbike for a stuntman.
The 50-year-old actor reportedly scoured the globe for a rare 1936 Harley-Davidson VLD motorcycle when he heard his friend's bike was destroyed during a house fire.
A source told the National Enquirer newspaper: "The guy had several bikes, but this was his baby and because it wasn't a street bike, he didn't have it insured.
"So Brad sprang into action, hiring a broker to search the world for a duplicate. When one was finally located in Germany, Brad wrote a cheque and had the boss machine delivered with a note that simply said he knew how much his buddy loved that bike, and just wanted to help out."
Meanwhile, it appears Brad's kind personality hasn't gone unnoticed by his fellow co-stars as Clint Eastwood's son Scott - who worked with the Hollywood hunk on the World War II drama film 'Fury' earlier this year - admits he was moved by his kindness and humility.
He said previously: "[Brad is] a kind and humble person, which is everything in this world. He's a great actor, but because he's proactive about developing material and getting stuff made."

Michael Douglas’ second Oscar was important to him

Michael Douglas felt like he was living in his father Kurt Douglas' shadow before winning his second Oscar.
The 69-year-old actor - who won his first Academy Award as a producer of the Best Picture winner 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' in 1975 - admits it wasn't until he was crowned Best Actor for 1987's 'Wall Street' that he felt like he'd become his own star.
He said: "My Best Actor Oscar was extremely important to me because it was the first time I felt that I had stepped out of my father's shadow."
However, Michael insists there are some positives to have a famous parent as he believes his dad has helped him stay grounded.
He explained: "The biggest benefit of being a second-generation actor is being able to watch your father and his friends - i.e. Tony Curtis, Frank Sinatra, Burt Lancaster - as people and seeing their foibles and insecurities. You realise they're like anybody else. They've got their issues. So it keeps you kind of grounded."
The actor still has a close relationship with Kurt and tries to see his parents as much as possible, but admits it can be difficult.
He told People magazine: "We live cross-country and it can be hard to get out here, but I'm conscious of touching bases as much as I can. They're not demanding."

Jon Favreau: Films were ‘escapism’ as a kid

Jon Favreau says films were a form of "escapism" for him growing up.
The director-and-actor used to immerse himself in Hollywood movies as a child when his family life was crumbling around him, but his passion for the industry has stayed with him ever since.
He explained: "My parents split up when I was seven, and by the time I was eleven my mother had passed away from leukaemia. If you stack up those experiences, those were the things that I spent the rest of my life contending with, and movies became an escapism from that."
Jon, 47, has had a string of successful movies roles, including 'The Break-Up', and directorial gigs, such as 'Iron Man', but still feels hurt by the poor reception his 2011 sci-fi western 'Cowboys & Aliens' received.
He explained to The Times newspaper: "It was the first time that critics didn't love something that I did. And that hurt. I didn't want to yell at anybody. I just felt sad, really."
The star has gone all out for his new low-budget comedy, 'Chef', which sees him play a disillusioned cook, who regains his passion by manning a taco truck across America and seduces Scarlett Johansson's alter-ego along the way.
Jon undertook an intensive French culinary training course and worked in the high-pressure kitchens of US chef Roy Choi in order to get into character, but he admits he has never charmed his wife of 14 years, Joya Tillem, with his own cooking.

Anna Faris proud of Chris Pratt’s Hollywood success

Anna Faris is "so proud" of her husband's Hollywood success.
Actor Chris Pratt is set to lead the cast of this summer's blockbuster Marvel superhero movie, 'Guardians of the Galaxy', as well as next year's long-awaited 'Jurassic World', and Faris - who has a successful movie career of her own - admits she is "so lucky" to have him.
Speaking about the star's busy film schedule, she said: "I'm so proud of him! He's been away, so that part's been hard - he's shooting 'Jurassic World' right now in New Orleans and our baby's not quite two yet. But it's exciting! I'm like, 'My husband's a movie star! What happened? How did I get so lucky? Does he still like me?' "
Pratt buffed up for his role in 'Guardians', in which he'll play Peter Quill/Star-Lord, and shared a sexy snap of his toned body on Instagram last year.
Faris says she loves her husband's new physique, but plans to "fatten him up" so other ladies won't hit on him.
She quipped: "I'm going to fatten him up as soon as he gets back from out of town!
"It's amazing. I'm so proud of him, he looks so sexy!"

Allison Janney to appear in Finding Dory?

Allison Janney has confirmed talks to appear in 'Finding Dory'.
The 54-year-old actress, who voiced the ochre starfish Peach in 2003's hit Disney-Pixar animation 'Finding Nemo', admits there has been some discussion about reprising the role in the upcoming sequel which will focus on Ellen DeGeneres' character.
She said: "I hope so ... God, I hope Peach comes back! I'm sure she'll have a cameo at the very least.
"I think there has been some discussion going on.
"It was amazing to be part of that, it was a brilliant film."
'Finding Dory' was first announced in April 2013 when Ellen DeGeneres confirmed she would be back to voice loveable Pacific regal blue tang Dory.
She said at the time: "I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating 'Toy Story 16'. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is, it's got a lot more Dory."
'Finding Dory' is set for release in June 2016.
