Dwayne Johnson says Hercules would "knock Superman into next week".
The 42-year-old actor stars as the Greek hero in the Brett Ratner film of the same name and claims his character would definitely win in a fight against comic book superhero Superman.
Quizzed on who he thinks would win in a fight between his Hercules and 'Man of Steel' star Henry Cavill's Superman, he told Digital Spy: "I know Henry very well, he's a buddy of mine, and who would win in a fight between Hercules and Superman? Just to be clear, you're talking about my Hercules against Henry's Superman? [Yes].
"I would take my club and I would knock Superman into next week and then I would whoop his ass for leaving. That's what I would do."
The 'Fast & Furious 7' actor went on to insist that Hercules is the original and best superhero as he doesn't hide behind a disguise.
He explained: "I think at his core, the idea and the notion that he accepts who he is ... he accepts the man who he was born to be. I think that type of notion is profound to all of us whether we're men or women.
"But it's that power that we have ... the most powerful person you can be is yourself and it takes us a long time to get there and in this case it's taken Hercules thousands of years, but he still got there."

Vin Diesel says 'Fast & Furious 7' was the "hardest movie" he's ever made.
Filming has now wrapped for the seventh instalment of the film franchise and actor Vin Diesel has opened up about the pain of losing his co-star Paul Walker in a tragic car accident in late 2013.
Talking to Access Hollywood, Vin reflected: "It was surreal. Needless to say the hardest movie I've ever done.
"I remember when the tragedy happened. My mother said, 'It's not fair that you have to mourn in front of the world'.
"What's even harder is to mourn and simultaneously pretend that that person is next to you. It's very, very weird."
Paul - who played Brian O'Conner in the films - died in November last year while in the passenger seat of a car being driven by his friend Roger Rodas.
The car burst into flames after hitting a lamppost in California and it's thought that the vehicle could have been travelling at up to 100 miles per hour.
Sadly, Paul died before finishing filming his scenes for 'Fast & Furious 7' and his brothers Caleb and Cody Walker were asked to fill in for their late sibling as a body double, so that the movie could be completed.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - who also stars in the film - previously confessed that completing the project was "bittersweet".
He shared: "Last day on set, it was bittersweet. It was emotional, it was beautiful. It was amazing, it was sad, it was all those things. We are all in the business we all know and love Paul Walker and we truly lost one of the good ones."
He added: "My number one thought is for his daughter [Meadow Walker]. I believe she is doing okay. I think she's doing as okay as she can."

J.J. Abrams has hinted that an X-Wing starfighter will feature in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.
In his latest video from the set of the highly anticipated next instalment of the sci-fi film series the director addresses fans while standing in front of the iconic aircraft.
The 'Star Trek' filmmaker previously posted a video from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where a number of sequences for the film were shot, offering fans the chance to appear in the movie in return for them donating money to Unicef via 'Force for Change', and he's now extended the prize.
Speaking from Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, South East England, with the vehicle partially responsible for the destruction of two Death Stars looking slightly modified and beat up in the background, he said: "People from over one hundred and nineteen countries have already participated ... But we're still going. We have one week left, so for this final week we're giving you and a friend the chance to visit the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII' and be in the movie."
It's yet to be revealed who will be flying the X-wing starfighter, but Abrams is planning to give a dedicated fan the chance to find out before the film's December 2015 release date.
He continued: "We're offering something else. A chance to win an advance screening of 'Episode VII' before it hits theatres. By supporting 'Force for Change' you could win a private screening of the movie in your hometown and invite twenty of your closest friends and family.
"We know how much Star Wars means to so many of you and we'd love to share the movie with you first while supporting this truly great cause."

Jessica Chastain will be honoured at the Deauville American Film Festival.
The 'Lawless' actress is to be recognised as the next honoree during the festival - which is set to take place in Deauville, France, this September - after impressing its director, Bruno Barde, with her "grace, talent and beauty", reports Digital Spy.
He explained: "The tribute is a token of our affection, admiration, recognition and esteem for the talent of the recipient.
"For the past few years, we have been paying tribute to those actresses who embody the cinema of today and who will form the legacy of tomorrow.
"We salute her grace and talent and the beauty of the truth she brings to her performance."
Barde added that the 37-year-old actress - who earned Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominations for her role in 'The Help' and won the Golden Globe for Best Actress for her part in the 2012 military thriller 'Zero Dark Thirty' - has earned the title through her constant stream of attention-grabbing performances.
He said: "When we first discovered Jessica Chastain, we had the definite feeling that here was someone special on-screen. Through her successive roles, she has confirmed her emotional capacity to grab the limelight."
Chastain can next be seen in 'Interstellar', 'The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby', 'Miss Julie' and Guillermo del Toro's 'Crimson Peak', in which she stars alongside Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.

Kylie Minogue is annoyed that her 1994 movie 'Street Fighter' is to be resurrected.
The film - which was loosely based on the popular video game of the same name - is being shown at the Prince Charles Cinema in central London this month, much to the annoyance of Kylie, 46.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Kylie is mortified and her people looked into whether there was any way to get it taken off the bill - there wasn't."
One potential reason for Kylie's embarrassment is that she had a fling with co-star Jean-Claude Van Damme, who revealed in 2012 that they had enjoyed a "sweet kiss".
'The Expendables' actor confessed at the time: "Let's just say it happened, so what? I was in Thailand, we had an affair."
Kylie, on the other hand, has been keen to play down the significance of their brief fling.
The 'Spinning Around' star said previously: "Affair is an overstatement. I guess he was part of life's rich tapestry."
'Street Fighter' failed to impress viewers or critics and unsurprisingly, perhaps, there are still plenty of tickets available for the London screening, which will give the audience an insight into the chemistry between Kylie and Jean-Claude.

Rose Byrne says Glenn Close is a "joker" on set.
The 'Damages' actress was worried at how her co-star would behave on set, and has revealed while she was expecting to "feel intimidated", she actually became a victim of one of the veteran's pranks during filming for the legal thriller which ran for five years.
She told The Observer Magazine: "I was worried I was going to meet Glenn Close and feel intimidated.
"Thankfully on the first day of shooting 'Damages' she proved to be ever the joker, blowing up a big picture of Brad Pitt in my dressing room for me. We worked together on 'Troy', and had shared a naked seen."
However, the 'Insidious' star wouldn't have been able to get her own back after the creative prank, having admitted that she is "not a natural" when it comes to comedy, despite starring in 'Bridesmaids'.
She added: "I'm not a natural comedian but I try. 'Bridesmaids' was like a breath of fresh air for me as I'd longed to do comedy for a while.
"I think we all harbour secret ambitions and that was mine - I'd always been limited to being seen as a serious actor. Thankfully, it worked out."

Ashley Benson loves the "freedom and challenge" of independent film.
The 'Spring Breakers' actress - who is best known for playing Hanna Marin in TV show 'Pretty Little Liars' - is hoping to make more movies as she enjoys stepping away from the long-running show.
She said: "Film is where I want to head towards and every year I try.
"I'd love to do independent films, I think there's more freedom and more of a challenge.
"Because I've played the same character on the show for years, any chance I get to play someone completely different to who I am or what I've played before, I like to jump at."
While the 24-year-old star enjoyed working on 'Spring Breakers', she admits the level of recognition she received when out with co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez was "crazy".
She told Company magazine: "When I went to Europe for the 'Spring Breakers' tour, that was nuts because I also had Selena and Vanessa with me. It just created a whole craze!
"I remember being in Paris and we were at a mall shopping, and we looked out of the window and there was thousands of people waiting outside - like we were the Beatles. It was like, 'Woah, this is crazy.' "

Karen Gillan has been praised for shaving her head for 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige thinks it's "really cool" the 'Doctor Who' actress was willing to show such commitment to her part as Nebula by going bald in the new intergalactic superhero movie.
He said: "She was willing to shave her head and she not only ended up shaving her head, but at Comic Con last year she came out on the panel in a wig and dramatically revealed it - it was so ballsy and it was so awesome. And she did all of her behind-the-scenes interviews completely bald and she is beautiful with hair and without hair, so it was really, really cool that she was willing to do that."
Feige went on to praise Gillan's performance in the movie, adding to BANG Showbiz: "Her audition was good and Nebula, the character she is playing, is a conflicted character and needs to have a number of different layers and a performance that comes through."
The Hollywood producer insists Gillan's popular role as Amy Pond in the sci-fi series didn't influence director James Gunn's decision to hire her, but concedes her strong fan base is only a positive.
He added: "It was a nice bonus that there was a fan base from 'Doctor Who', but that wasn't the driving factor."
