Angelina Jolie plans to star in "a few more" movies.
The 39-year-old star, who previously revealed she wants to focus on directing and her humanitarian work in the future, says she isn't ready to retire from the big screen just yet.
Discussing her future acting plans, she said: "I'll do a few more."
But she told Variety magazine that her heart still lies behind the camera, saying: "I'm happier when I get to put a camera on another actor and watch them do great work."
Despite being very passionate about directing, Angelia wasn't instantly handed the job on her new movie, 'Unbroken,' even though Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley was a fan of her 2011 directorial debut 'The Land of Blood and Honey'.
Langley said: "I've seen almost every film about that conflict, and I thought her film was the most impactful and clearest about what people were living through during that time. The movie follows the story of a woman caught in difficult circumstances, who has to persevere; that's very synonymous with Louis Zamperini's story [in 'Unbroken']."
But she added: "She had to work for it. I put her through her paces."
The brunette beauty created a picture board representing her vision for scenes and characters in the project in a bid to secure the opportunity.
Langley said: "After a few conversations, it became very clear that she was ready to step up to the task."

Miranda Hart had to tackle 50 Cent to the floor in her new movie 'Spy'.
The 41-year-old British comedian features in the Paul Feig-directed movie - which is set to be released next year - and has revealed she had to wrestle with the 'In Da Club' rapper during her first day of filming.
She explained: "First day on set - I don't know if I'm allowed to say this but I will anyway - I was on set with 50 Cent, and my first scene was tackling 50 Cent to the ground.
"I was a bit nervous doing that. Hilarious. I thought, 'What's happened to my life?' "
The film is the 'Miranda' star's first major Hollywood production, in which she stars opposite Jason Statham, Jude Law and Rose Byrne, and she plays the buddy of protagonist Susan Cooper, portrayed by Melissa McCarthy.
Discussing the film during an interview on 'This Morning', she said: "It is with Paul Feig, he directed 'Bridesmaids' and 'The Heat', it's his new movie he wrote it and it's a spy film."
The movie follows Melissa's character, who is a deskbound CIA analyst forced to become a secret agent herself in order to infiltrate an arms dealing ring in order to save the world.
Miranda added: "It's sort of a James Bond film but it's funny. Not a spoof but Melissa plays a spy and her being a spy is automatically hilarious, and I play her best friend."
The 'Call The Midwife' actress also revealed that she felt star-struck when making the movie in Budapest, Hungary, because she is not used to working with such well-known people.
She said: "I was in a room with Jude Law and Melissa McCarthy, this doesn't happen to people like me. I was a little bit giddy."

Jennifer Aniston called in a lot of "favours" to get her latest movie 'Cake' made.
The 45-year-old actress plays character Claire Simmons, a pain-riddled woman recovering from an accident who becomes obsessed by the suicide of another woman in her chronic pain support group.
As well as starring in the movie, Aniston also acted as executive producer and used her extensive contacts in the industry to help get the project - the first film from Cinelou Films' new distribution arm Cinelou Releasing.
She said: "There were a lot of favours, sweet loving given so that people provided in order to help our little movie."
The former 'Friends' star insists she enjoyed the experience of making 'Cake' very exciting because she got to be involved in so many aspects of the filmmaking process, something that doesn't happen on her bigger budget movies.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she explained: "It's not that the big ones aren't exciting, but you can get to be, for me, creatively involved on all levels, which I just find so utterly fulfilling."
In her role as executive producer, Aniston assisted in hiring the rest of the cast - which includes Anna Kendrick, Sam Worthington and Felicity Huffman - and also putting together the crew.
'Cake' is already being tipped for potential Oscar success and Aniston is very "flattered" by the reaction to the film.

Robert De Niro has confirmed that he will work with David O. Russell again in 'Joy'.
The 71-year-old actor worked with the director on 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'American Hustle', and will once again reunite with the filmmaker for 'Joy'.
De Niro's co-star from the two films Jennifer Lawrence which also star and shooting is due to begin next week.
Speaking at a press conference in Rome for documentary 'Remembering the Artist' - about the artist Robert De Niro Sr. - the actor was asked if he'd be making another film with Russell and Jennifer, to which he replied: "Yes I am going to do something with them. I am going to play a father."
'Joy' will tell the story of a struggling single mother Joy Mangano - who is expected to be played by 'The Hunger Games' actress Lawrence - in the Long Island area of New York, who became one of the top entrepreneurs in the US after inventing the Miracle Mop.
As well as De Niro and Lawrence, Bradley Cooper is expected to have a cameo appearance in the movie, with Russell explaining he always creates a role for the 'The Hangover' actor in his films.
In a recent interview with Go magazine, the 56-year-old filmmaker said: "We're going to take some risks we haven't taken before, in storytelling and cinematically.
"Of course I always create a role for Bradley. I try to have things people have never done. Then they can get excited, and it's exciting for audiences. That's what makes it daring in some way (sic)."

Channing Tatum admits there was a "lot of apologies" on the set of 'Magic Mike XXL'.
The 34-year-old actor - who stars as the title character in the comedy film series - has revealed that the group dance rehearsals can get quite intimate.
He said: "Dance rehearsals twice a day, once by myself and once with the group.
"There are a lot of apologies. A lot of 'I'm sorry that ran into your chin' and 'Let me take my thigh off your neck'."
Channing - who is also producing and co-writing the film - has revealed he loves to be able to control all the different elements of the film.
He said: "When we sit down, we're really writing. My partner and I make wholesale changes. As needed.
"Today, tomorrow. That's why I'm the producer, too. So we have permission to screw up the whole thing every day."
His writing partner, Reid Carolin, added to Esquire magazine: "We write to the very last second. We read the script aloud, we retool scenes.
"Chan delivers the changes to the director and the cinematographer, works them out again.
"Then he goes into the gym to work out and I get my laptop, sit on the heavy equipment, and we start working more while he's lifting."

Matthew McConaughey will have a cameo role in 'Magic Mike XXL'.
The 45-year-old actor was previously confirmed not to be reprising his role as greedy strip club boss Dallas in the forthcoming stripper sequel - which again stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Joe Managniello - but following fans' disappointment at the news, he is now expected to make a brief appearance in the film, the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column reports.
Director Gregory Jacobs confirmed in September that the 'Lincoln Lawyer' star wouldn't be returning to the film series, explaining the new movie is very different to the 2012 original and will see the stripping stars go out on the road.
He said: "It's a road trip movie and put it this way, it's different enough that once you see it you'll understand why we made a sequel. No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice."
It was previously suggested that McConaughey wouldn't be in the sequel because his fees have soared following his award-winning role in 'Dallas Buyers Club'.
'Magic Mike' star Gabriel Iglesias, who will return as Tobias in the new film, said: "Word has it that Matt's probably not gonna be involved, because he's worth a lot of money now - that whole Oscar thing."
'Magic Mike XXL' is scheduled for release in summer 2015.

Eddie Redmayne was terrified to audition for the role of Professor Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything'.
The 32-year-old actor portrays the celebrated physicist in the new biopic but admits he didn't have much faith that he would land the part he coveted so much.
Redmayne - who counts a Tony Award and BAFTA nomination amongst his achievements - told Sunday Times Culture magazine: "I don't have a massive amount of faith in myself, but I do have a competitive edge."
Referring to his latest role, he added: "I was like, 'Yeah - yeah! I'm going to try for that one, and then ... complete terror. Someone asked me earlier, 'Did you get offered it?' And I was like, 'No, I fought pretty hard.'"
The 'Les Miserables' star had to get used to sitting a wheelchair all day during shooting as Hawking has had motor neuron disease since the age of 21.
However, Redmayne insists it didn't bother him because it is such an important part of the scientist's life story.
Speaking about his scenes in the wheelchair, he explained: (It was) uncomfortable - but at the end of the day you got out of the wheelchair."

Francis Lawrence thinks using CGI to increase the presence of Philip Seymour Hoffman in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' would have been "catastrophic."
The acclaimed actor passed away in February at the age of 46, midway through filming on the Hollywood blockbuster, but director Francis rejected plans to complete his missing scenes for the film and for the next instalment - 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' - using computer trickery, saying the result would not have done justice to his acting ability.
He explained: "He was one of the greatest actors, I think, of all time, and I just think to try to fake a Philip Seymour Hoffman performance would have been catastrophic and I would never want to do that."
The father-of-three - who played Plutarch Heavensbee in the franchise - had two scenes left to be filmed when he died from a mixed drugs overdose.
Francis continued: "He had two scenes with dialogue that were left, and we decided we didn't want to try any kind of digital trickery with him. So we rewrote his scenes and gave his dialogue to other actors."
He added: "I just think this was the best way to be able to get around such a horrible thing."
The director - who also worked on 'I Am Legend' and 'Water for Elephants' - also spoke about the star's particular acting style, which included extensive research and rehearsal.
In a discussion with The Huffington Post, he explained: "He was constantly sort of grinding away at a scene and was able to dig down and down and down, deeper and really find the dynamics of the relationships that he's in,
"And then once you've done that process then you don't really need many takes at all with him."
