Eddie Redmayne wears high heels in new film role

Eddie Redmayne is learning how to walk in a pair of high heels for his next film role.
The Oscar-nominated actor is preparing to star in 'The Danish Girl' - which concerns transgender pioneer Einar Wegener - and has revealed he's working with celebrated movement director Alexandra Reynolds to ensure he's convincing on screen.
The 33-year-old explained: "We're looking at everything from a feminine perspective. How to sit, to walk, to pose, roll on a pair of stockings. How to put on a pair of heels and how to walk in them. Everything."
Eddie, who won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his performance in 'The Theory of Everything', says his new movie about Einar and his wife Gerda Gottlieb is a study of "authenticity, identity and love".
In preparation for the role, he's spoken to members of the transgender community.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "The danger of surgery was so extreme [in the 1920s]. It's such a brave thing that Einar did."
Following his recent success at the Golden Globes, Eddie said he doesn't get overwhelmed by the attention because he's always busy with new projects.
He shared: "It is extraordinary. The way I stay focused is because I'm working on something else so literally I'm preparing and rehearsing for a new film that's starting in a week or two so in some ways you're focus is on that and it's a very good way of remind yourself that the work is the important thing, as wonderful as this ride has been. But that's how I try and keep my focus."

Eddie Murphy unsure of Beverly Hills Cop future

Eddie Murphy is not keen on returning for 'Beverly Hills Cop 4'.
The comedian and actor played the protagonist Axel Foley - a hilarious police detective - in the original three movies released in 1984, 1987 and 1994, but said he is not willing to reprise the role unless there is a "really incredible script", after Paramount Studios announced they were developing another sequel.
When asked if production on the film had begun, he said: "Nah, they still trying to get that script right. I'm not doing a 'Beverly Hills Cop' unless they have a really incredible script."
Last year, the studios announced the franchise's fourth action-comedy instalment would be released in cinemas on March 25, 2016, but with production yet to begin, this has been thrown into question.
Speaking further about the prospect of featuring in the film - which will be directed by 'Horrible Bosses' creator Brett Ratner - the 53-year-old actor said he would not take part in the production just to make money, as he wants to star in something which he thinks people will actually enjoy, following the widespread criticism of the third movie which Eddie himself described as "atrocious".
He told Rolling Stone magazine: "I've read a couple things that look like they can make some paper. But I'm not doing a sh**ty movie just to make some paper. The s**t got to be right."

Colin Firth admits training for new movie ‘hurt’

Colin Firth admits training for his role in 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' "hurt".
The 54-year-old actor admits playing the part of British spy Harry Hart in the upcoming film took a lot of preparation as he had to be physically fit but slim enough for his slick suits.
He said: "I loved it. I didn't love the first month, it hurt but I kept at it for long enough and eventually if you repeat something you'll get some results.
"I was thrilled, I missed it terribly when it was over."
The 'King's Speech' star confessed it was difficult to perform some of the death defying stunts because of the lack of breathing room in his attire.
He told MTV News: "The stunts we did, actually because they were cut within an inch of our lives, you're one breakfast away from not closing your buttons.
"When we actually came to do the stunt scenes they had another version of the suit with a little bit more room to manoeuvre."
However, Firth's co-star Taron Egerton, 25, insists he enjoyed dressing up in the dapper garments as it made him feel manlier.
He explained: "There's something really wonderful about wearing a suit because it makes you feel very strong, physically able, very capable. So yeah, if you're ever going to save the world, it's got to be done in a bespoke suit doesn't it."
'Kingsman: The Secret Service' is out in UK cinemas on January 29.

Sienna Miller’s ketchup lie to daughter

Sienna Miller had to tell her daughter her blood spattered co-star Luke Evans was covered in ketchup during a shoot on 'High Rise'.
The 33-year-old actress often takes her two-year-old tot Marlowe on set with her when she's working but the youngster sometimes has awkward questions for her about what's happening which means she has to be creative with her answers.
Sienna can remember a day on the set of the upcoming film which saw Luke require a fake head injury, but the quick-thinking star came up with a fun tale for Marlowe.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, she said: "Marlow knows her way around set and loves trailers. I do need (to tell) the odd lie.
Recalling Marlowe's curiosity about the artificial blood, she added: "I said, 'Look at all the ketchup on Luke's head,' when it was fake blood. It's quite hard to try and explain to your two-and-a-half-year-old what you do for a living."
Sienna has been enjoying a career renaissance with roles in 'Foxcatcher' and 'American Sniper' and has four films scheduled to come out this year, including 'High Rise'.
The British blonde believes becoming a parent to Marlowe - her only child with fiancé Tom Sturridge - has helped her improve as an actress.
She said: "I think it (motherhood) gives you a depth. I feel like there's this person who is my priority and nothing else really is significant. That's the most important thing in my life, and as a result, I sort of relaxed about a lot of stuff."

Kate Bosworth inspired by Julianne Moore

Kate Bosworth says Julianne Moore and Cate Blanchett are inspirations to her.
The 32-year-old star idolises her two older peers and insists she learnt so much from Julianne, 54, when they both filmed 'Still Alice' together.
One of the big lessons Kate learnt from Julianne - who won the Best Actress in a Drama Golden Globe for her performance as early onset Alzheimer's disease sufferer Dr. Alice Howland - is that you have to keep diversifying your roles.
She said: "I have people like Julie, I look up to Cate Blanchett a lot. All you can keep doing is doing the work. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and you have a long career."
Kate refuses to be drawn into the argument about the roles available to older actresses - recently ignited by Russell Crowe's comments his female peers should accept age appropriate parts - and insists it's tough to find work at any age.
Speaking to the New York Post newspaper at the Cinema Society screening of 'Still Alice' in NYC, she explained: "Listen, it is difficult to be a professional artist; it doesn't really matter what age. It's challenging to make a living off of being creative. It's challenging to make a living off of being creative."

Oscar Isaac: I see Darth Vader as my dad

Oscar Isaac sees 'Star Wars' villain Darth Vader as his own dad.
The 35-year-old actor recently finished shooting the hugely anticipated sequel in the saga, 'The Force Awakens', in which he plays Poe Dameron.
Isaac's first memory of George Lucas' sci-fi series is watching 'Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi' in the cinema and the most powerful scene for him was when Luke Skywalker takes off his father Darth Vader's black mask to see his human face before he dies.
The star admits it had a profound effect on him and many other film goers because the Sith Lord represents how we view of our own dads.
In an interview with ShortList magazine, he said: "The first film I remember seeing in the movie theatre was 'Return of the Jedi'. I don't know if I had a favourite character, but I remember the scene where Darth Vader's helmet comes off being really intense for me. You don't even realise, but you see Darth Vader as your father. It's about father figures being these impenetrable figures and realising they're actually just vulnerable, frail human beings."
Very little is known about the plot of the latest instalment - directed by J.J. Abrams - or Isaac's character.
Isaac has revealed he and his castmates had to read their scripts in a room with cameras inside to prevent any leaks, but he accepts the interest surrounding the movie means special measures had to be taken.
He said: "There was a special room with CCTV where you read the script. It's a wild world out there, where the hunger for even little titbits is ravenous. As soon as you're in, you're part of the world."
Isaac appears in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' with John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Mark Hamil, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. He can next be seen in 'Ex Machina'.
