Jason Schwartzman: I loved wearing a prosthetic penis

Jason Schwartzman "loved" wearing a prosthetic penis in new comedy 'The Overnight'.
The 35-year-old actor, who stars alongside Adam Scott in the movie, was forced to wear a fake member for some scenes and said it was "fun" to have it applied.
He told 'Conan': "I loved it. It was nice.
"In fact, like the day that I first had the penis applied to me, I was dreading it. Of course you lie there.
"They put it on with adhesive and it's put on you and then when I stood up for the first time and actually saw it, it was really nice and fun to have it."
What's more, Jason admitted to taking a picture of himself with the prosthetic penis attached and sending it to his wife, fashion designer Brady Cunningham.
He shared: "I tried to take a selfie but it didn't work.
"The hair and make-up lady, Elle, took a few photos of me fully naked and we didn't get the lighting quite right so we took three or four of me and I texted them to my wife and she thought it was great."
Catch 'Conan' Mondays-Thursdays at 1am on truTV.

Cara Delevingne: Superhero movies are sexist

Cara Delevingne thinks superhero movies are "totally sexist".
The 22-year-old actress, who stars alongside Will Smith and Margot Robbie in the new comic book movie 'Suicide Squad', has blasted the typical Hollywood portrayal of female characters in superhero films.
She told Empire: "There are only three girls in ['Suicide Squad'] but in my opinion they have the best roles. Generally though, superhero movies are totally sexist.
"Female superheroes are normally naked or in bikinis. No-one would be able to fight like that. Wonder Woman, how the hell does she fight? She would be dead in a minute."
This comes shortly after Cara claimed her much-anticipated new movie will be "the best thing in the world".
The London-born star said that while she's not typically a fan of the genre, she's never been more excited to see a movie in her life.
She revealed: "It's f***ing insane. I'm not the biggest fan of superhero films. There are so f**king many. I love the Batmans but some of them I'm not that keen on.
"I've never been so excited to see a film and I'm actually in it.
"I wish I could tell you about it at all. The movie is going to be the best thing in the world. The camaraderie on set is insane."

James Gunn previews Guardians of the Galaxy 2

James Gunn has revealed 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' will "focus more intensely on some of the characters".
The 44-year-old director - who helmed the first movie in 2014 and has returned for the next instalment - has promised the eagerly-awaited new movie will be even better than the original.
He said: "It's both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters.
"We get to learn a lot more about fathers in the second movie, and we focus a lot on that."
James also suggested the upcoming movie will see new characters enter the Marvel universe.
Asked if fans should expect to see any new characters, he told Collider: "You'll have to wait to see the movie to see who's introduced."
Meanwhile, Chris Pratt claimed recently that starring in 'Jurassic World' was a "breeze" after appearing in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
Chris - who appears in the role of Velociraptor expert Owen Grady - said: "To be honest, after Groot and Rocket on 'Guardians Of The Galaxy', a few dinosaurs are a breeze."
'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' is set for release in May 2017.

Amber Heard: I have to ‘fight’ for movie roles because I’m bisexual

Amber Heard has to "fight" for film roles because of her sexuality.
The 29-year-old actress came out as bisexual at an event hosted by Gay & Lesbian Alliance against Defamation in 2010 and - before she met her husband Johnny Depp in 2012 - dated female artist and photographer Tasya van Ree between 2008 to 2011, but has insisted she doesn't want to "be defined by it".
Amber said: "I don't want to have to deny my sexuality in order to be me. But I don't want to have to be defined by it. I'm fundamentally opposed to trying to edit myself to be palatable or popular. I don't give a f**k. I fight, but I shouldn't have to."
The 'Magic Mike XXL' star went on to argue that celebrities who are in the closet are "inadvertently admitting it's wrong" to be bisexual or homosexual.
Speaking to The Times magazine, Amber said: "I personally think that if you deny something or if you hide something you're inadvertently admitting it's wrong. I hate the idea of a label just as much as anyone else but I'm with who I'm with.
"I'm not a better actress than I was yesterday and my personal life should have no effect on that."

Mark Wahlberg originally turned down Ted

Mark Wahlberg originally turned down 'Ted'.
The 44-year-old actor has admitted he thought the idea for the film about a talking teddy bear sounded "absurd" when he first heard about it, and only accepted the role in the film - which has now been made into a sequel - after he got pressure from people around him.
Mark said: "When you hear about ('Ted') for the first time, it sounds absurd. There's no good way to pitch it. It's ridiculous. So, I was like, 'Absolutely not!' It was one of those things where I was getting pressure from every angle.
"And then, when I talked to another agent about another project that I was producing and looking at one of their clients, they were like, 'I heard you're doing Ted.' I was like, 'What is this thing?'"
The 'Boogie Nights' actor went on to read the script and find out more about the film and chose to take a risk.
Speaking to Collider.com, Mark added: "So, I read the first 35 pages of the script and put it down. It was the same experience that I had with 'Boogie Nights', where I said, 'This is either going to be brilliant, or it's going to be awful.'
"So then, it was a matter of sitting down with (the film's producer and writer) Seth (MacFarlane) and hearing what his vision was for it. And then, from that point, I saw the test and saw how the bear looked. I thought, 'You know, this could be good. Take a chance.'"

Channing Tatum influenced by daughter

Channing Tatum's career is being "swayed" by his daughter.
The 'Magic Mike XXL' actor - who has two-year-old Everly with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum - has suggested his forthcoming projects will be more family-friendly thanks to the influence of his little girl.
He said: "I think things in life definitely persuade you. You know, things that you're doing inspire you creatively.
"Having a child changes you and I can feel the sway that it's had on the other creative things I've got in the pipeline."
And Channing, 35, insists he and his 36-year-old wife won't be putting any pressure on Everly to follow in their footsteps because he thinks it is important she has her own ambitions.
He told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "Kids have to do what they want to do, not what parents want them to do.
"They shouldn't just do it because their parents did it.
"Or they should not want to do it because their parents want to do it.
"They should really go and just try to explore it."

Evangeline Lilly wants more Marvel

Evangeline Lilly wants to be in more Marvel movies.
The brunette beauty stars as Hope van Dyne - the daughter of Henry Pym and Janet van Dyne, AKA the original Ant-Man and Wasp - in the new 'Ant-Man' movie and hopes her contract will see her become the new Wasp and move into the wider superhero universe.
She said: "I would love to see [her join the Avengers]. Hope is a very, very capable, intelligent and, to a certain extent, lethal woman, even in her own right, without any superhero powers.
"There is that element that she is the Wasp's daughter and a chance to create that is fun.
"As far as the plans for her going forward... I think everyone who signs with Marvel has to sign a multi-picture deal. I'm just crossing my fingers that that turns into something, that they ask me back and that I have to do more movies."
Evangeline feels "honoured" to have taken on the role of such a "kick-ass" woman and enjoyed being "very cold and impatient" on screen.
She told SFX magazine: "Often I think I've played characters who were tough but they're very gentle and caring. It was actually fun for me to try on a character who was actually very cold and often impatient and kind of rude/
"She's an original to the Marvel Universe and of course I'm thrilled to be in good company with Scarlett Johansson [who plays Black Widow in the 'Avengers' movies] as one of the kick-ass females in this universe.
"I'm honoured to be able to play a role where women, their authenticity and their strength are being represented in the superhero universe."

Guy Ritchie’s laugh battle

Guy Ritchie faced a "battle" to stop 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' being too funny.
The filmmaker admits he has done his best to make his retake on the classic 60s TV show serious but couldn't help but allow humour to "creep in".
He said: "At what point do you take yourself too seriously and lose a form of entertainment? It's an ongoing creative battle.
"It's really a question of keeping a muzzle on the humour. I'm always encouraged to put more humour in but I don't want to because, invariably, you lose the stakes.
"On the whole the scripts we write are written seriously and then I allow humour to creep in on the day.
"Invariably what we realise is we can make something more entertaining. Honestly, my biggest battle is to stop the cast being funnier. That is a whole wrestling match.
"The instinct is there to make it funny and I've just got to hold that back as much as I can."
'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' follows 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' in bringing a more light-hearted tone to the spy genre and Guy insists it was a "complete coincidence", despite the other movie being helmed by his friend Matthew Vaughn.
He told SFX magazine: "It's a complete coincidence. Vaughn is my ex-partner and we know each other very well.
"We shot our films at the same time - he was in the studio next door - and I had no idea he was making the tone he was making. And he had no idea I was making the tone I was making.
"It was just one of those things. It just seemed to happen."

Emma Stone prefers comedy

Emma Stone's "true love" is comedy.
The 26-year-old actress has won praise for her work on movies like 'The Help' and 'Gangster Squad' but will always enjoy making light-hearted films the most.
She said: " Comedy is my true love. I doubt whether there will ever be another genre that can compete.
"A big part of my job is being able to understand different facets of the human psyche and I like to be able to push myself in roles where you have to dig deeper inside."
And the 'Birdman' star also "gravitates" toward strong female roles where she is portraying more than someone's girlfriend.
Asked if she deliberately chooses to play strong characters, she told LOOK magazine: "I probably gravitate towards those kinds of characters although it's not like I'm specifically looking to play strong women.
"I'm attracted to roles where the female character has her own sense of identity and not just the guy's girlfriend and reacting to whatever he does.
"That's why playing Gwen in the 'Spider-Man' films has been so interesting and satisfying for me because she's such a forceful and independent young woman. I like the idea of playing women who can stand on their own and also be very loving and open."
