Disney to make Lion King sequel

Disney is to make a 'Lion King' sequel.
The movie studio has announced plans to make another movie in the franchise, the most successful of which was the original in 1994 that featured the voices of Rowan Atkinson and Jeremy Irons.
Disney said: "The movie follows Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands."
'The Lion Guard: Return Of The Roar' will continue the story from where the last movie left it and will act as a precursor to the 'Lion Guard' TV series.
James Earl Jones is returning to voice Mufasa, while Matthew Broderick is to be replaced by Rob Lowe as Simba.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported Disney is developing a live-action 'Sword in the Stone' movie.
The remake of the 1963 animated film is being penned by 'Game of Thrones' writer Bryan Cogman, with Brigham Taylor set to produce the movie.
Disney has also scheduled other classics, including 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Jungle Book', which has a cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o and Bill Murray.

Zach Galifianakis ‘wanted to play The Joker in Lego Batman’

Monica Bellucci is a ‘seductive on-screen presence’

Sam Mendes thinks Monica Bellucci is an "incredibly seductive" on-screen presence in 'Spectre'.
The acclaimed director - who's returned to the Bond franchise after helming the 2012 hit 'Skyfall' - has revealed he's delighted to have cast Monica, 50, and Léa Seydoux as the secret agent's love interests in the eagerly-awaited new movie.
He shared: "In 'Spectre', the two women he hooks up with both have great mystery.
"Both have depths and for that you need fantastic actresses and I just thought Monica Bulluci.
"You know, it makes sense in the story, makes sense with the ages of the characters we're dealing with. She's an incredibly seductive presence, in life and in the movie, and I'm thrilled she's in it."
Meanwhile, Monica revealed her excitement at securing a starring role in the legendary franchise.
The Italian actress said: "James Bond is a part of cinema history. And I respect so much all of the James Bond girls, because I think they are incredible actresses. [Lea] is very beautiful and very talented - she's a great James Bond girl."
'Spectre' sees Daniel Craig return to the role of Bond, and he will feature alongside the likes of Christoph Waltz and Naomie Harris.

Ronda Rousey: I want to play Captain Marvel

Ronda Rousey would love to star as Captain Marvel.
The mixed martial artist-turned-actress has revealed she dreams of starring in her own movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - and has identified Captain Marvel as her character of choice.
Asked during a Reddit Q&A which superhero she'd most like to play, the 28-year-old star replied: "A lot of the good ones have been taken, but I'd like to vie for Miss Marvel."
This comes shortly after it was reported Ronda could be set to star in a biopic about her life.
The 'Furious 7' actress is the author of the best-selling autobiography 'My Fight/Your Fight' and Paramount Pictures has secured the rights to the book, with rumours suggesting Rousey will play the lead part.
Executive producer Mary Parent said: "It's a real honour to be a part of bringing Ronda's incredible story to the big screen."
Ronda recently recorded a dramatic win over her UFC rival Bethe Correia in Brazil and prior to her victory, she explained how her burgeoning movie career would work around her UFC commitments.
She said: "Here's pretty much the plan.
"I'm going to beat up Bethe, then I'm going to take a couple of weeks to rest, and then I'm going to go beat up Miesha [Tate], and then I'm going to go to like Thailand or wherever we decide to film ('Mile 22') and prep for like a month, and then start filming for like eight to 10 weeks, and then go beat up the next chick.
"That's pretty much my plan."

David Oyelowo voices James Bond audiobook

David Oyelowo will voice James Bond in forthcoming thriller 'Trigger Mortis'.
The Shakespearian actor will be the first black actor to play 007 and while it is for the audiobook rather than on-screen, it's a big deal because the estate of Bond author and creator Ian Fleming personally asked him to step up to the role.
David revealed: "I am officially the only person on planet Earth who can legitimately say: 'I am the new James Bond' - even saying that name is the cinematic equivalent of doing the 'to be or not to be' speech."
The 29-year-old gushed about how "really special" it was to have been specifically asked to take on the role.
He told the Guardian newspaper: "I was asked specifically by the Fleming estate, which is really special."
David's repertoire includes playing Henry VI for the Royal Shakespeare Company, MI5 officer Danny Hunter in the BBC TV drama 'Spooks' and he was Martin Luther King in 'Selma'.
The news comes as 'Luther' star Idris Elba was rumoured to be taking over from Daniel Craig as the first black James Bond.
However, the 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' actor will star as the MI5 spy once again in the next film in the franchise 'Spectre' released on November 6.

Guy Ritchie: I loved Guardians of the Galaxy

Guy Ritchie "loved" 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
The 46-year-old director - who's helmed 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.', starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer - has revealed himself to be a major fan of the Marvel movie, but is unsure whether he'd want to commit to a similarly adventurous project.
Asked if he was interested to be involved in a Marvel-style cinematic franchise, Guy said: "I'm not sure if I have a clear answer for that one. I have a very collaborative relationship with Warner Bros. where they throw different ideas at me, and it takes nearly two years to make a movie, so you have to be relatively judicious about what projects you're going to choose.
"You just choose what you feel is challenging and worthwhile for you to do, so with the comic-book world, it just depends on if you get inspired. Like, I loved 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and I thought it was a real breath of fresh air. And a lot of what you're after is freshness, isn't it?"
Meanwhile, Guy also admitted he'd be interested in making a 'Man from U.N.C.L.E.' sequel, providing the first movie is a hit.
He told Vulture: "It's obviously too early to predict whether this film can be successful enough to make a second one, but I'd love to make it.
"I had so much fun making this one that I'd love to go on. Also, the thing about making movies is that every time you make one, it is a bit like inventing the wheel, so it's quite good if you can make a wheel that can repeat its revolution."

Tom Hardy to produce and star in 100 Bullets?

Tom Hardy is set to produce and potentially star in '100 Bullets'.
The British actor - whose previous film credits include 'The Dark Knight Rises', 'Bronson' and 'Mad Max: Fury Road' - has signed up to produce the adaptation of the acclaimed comic book, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Tom, 37, will produce alongside Dean Baker via the duo's Hardy Son & Baker production company, while the script has been penned by Chris Borrelli, whose credits include the horror movie 'The Vatican Tapes'.
Earlier this year, Tom issued an apology to 'Mad Max' director George Miller, admitting he was grumpy on the set of the acclaimed movie and failed to grasp the filmmaker's vision.
He shared: "I owe George an apology for being so myopic - that was my first thought.
"The most frustrating thing for me or the hardest part of filming was trying to know what George wanted me to do at any given minute on a minute-by-minute basis, so I could fully execute his vision.
"I have to apologise to (George) because I got frustrated and there is no way that George could have explained what he conceived in the sand while we were out there filming."

Mark Wahlberg cast in Partners

Mark Wahlberg has been cast in a 'Mr and Mrs. Smith'-style new movie.
The 44-year-old actor is to feature in the Evan Turner-scripted comedy-drama, which is said to be similar to the 2005 romantic comedy featuring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Deadline reports.
Rather than featuring the typical 'bromance' storyline, 'Partners' will see Mark line up alongside a female partner.
The story involves the Hollywood star playing an LAPD detective who falls for a beautiful woman following a one-night stand.
Subsequently, however, it's revealed she is an FBI agent and also his new boss on a high profile case.
This comes shortly after Mark revealed he initially turned down the opportunity to star in 'Ted', admitting the idea for the film about a talking teddy bear sounded "absurd" when he first heard about it.
Mark said: "When you hear about ('Ted') for the first time, it sounds absurd. There's no good way to pitch it. It's ridiculous. So, I was like, 'Absolutely not!' It was one of those things where I was getting pressure from every angle.
"And then, when I talked to another agent about another project that I was producing and looking at one of their clients, they were like, 'I heard you're doing Ted.' I was like, 'What is this thing?'"

Dustin Hoffman: I’ve made my granddaughter jealous

Dustin Hoffman has made his nine-year-old granddaughter jealous with his latest career move.
The award-winning actor - whose career has seen him play some of cinema's most iconic characters, including Raymond Babbitt in 'Rain Man' - is narrating the audiobook of 'Appleblossom the Possum', and his granddaughter Daisy Jo could not be more envious.
He explained to PEOPLE magazine: "When she found out I was going to do the voices, she says, 'But I'm the perfect Appleblossom'.
"She wanted to do Appleblossom, so when she was told that I was doing it, she said, 'Oh, he always gets the best parts.'"
Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning actor claimed last month that the film industry is in the "worst" shape it's ever been in.
He observed that while the TV industry is riding the crest of a wave at the moment, the film business has hit an all-time low.
Dustin reflected: "I think right now television is the best that it's ever been and I think that it's the worst that film has ever been - in the 50 years that I've been doing it, it's the worst."
