Example: I’ve turned to acting because music was boring

Example turned to acting because making music has become "boring".
The 33-year-old rapper - whose real name is Elliot Gleave - makes his big screen debut in 'Between Two Worlds', but has warned cinemagoers he does not expect to "set the world on fire" with his first performance.
The chart-topping star said: "Doing music had almost become boring for me. I used to get excited, but after my sixth album and thousands of gigs, I needed a new injection.
"Film has given me something like that. Music was no longer scary - with acting I was scared.
"In music I had worked so hard. I had almost pushed myself to the brink. I was doing my gigs almost on autopilot. I needed to challenge my mind again. My plan is to do two films a year for the next few years. I don't expect to set the world on fire with my performance, but I just want people to see that I can hold my own."
Example said he was drawn to appearing in 'Between Two Worlds' because he can empathise, to some extent, with his on-screen character.
He told the Evening Standard newspaper: "What I liked about this is that there is no violence. I play a young investment banker who is a bit misogynistic. Maybe I was channelling my younger self."

Vin Diesel ‘excited as hell’ for new XXX movie

Vin Diesel is "excited as hell" about working with director DJ Caruso on 'XXX 3'.
The 48-year-old Hollywood star is preparing to reprise the role of Xander Cage in the action film franchise and is thrilled to announce the appointment of Caruso, who is best known for directing 'Disturbia' and 'Eagle Eye'.
He said: "I'm excited as hell about XXX. DJ Caruso is directing it, which is exciting."
Vin said the only question left to answer is which of his two most famous film franchises, 'XXX' and 'Fast and Furious', will make it to production first, with the latter having recently appointed F Gary Gray to helm the next movie in the money-spinning series.
The action star told io9: "The big question now is which will race to production first now that F Gary Gray is on ['Furious 8']? Will 'XXX' race to production first or will 'Fast' race to production first?"
The original 'XXX' movie opened in 2002 and despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, it performed impressively at the box office, earning $277 million worldwide.
However, the 2005 sequel, titled 'XXX: State of the Union', was considered a critical and commercial failure, making just $71 million in ticket sales.

Charlize Theron ‘may not return to Mad Max’

Charlize Theron is not certain to return to the 'Mad Max' franchise.
The Oscar-winning actress starred as Imperator Furiosa alongside Tom Hardy in the critically-acclaimed action movie 'Mad Max: Fury Road' earlier this year, but director George Miller has confessed he doesn't know if Charlize will reprise the role for the sequel.
Asked about the possibility, the 70-year-old film-maker said: "I'm not sure, is the answer.
"She's not in the 'Mad Max' [sequel] story, but in one of the stories there's an interaction between [Max and Furiosa]. I can't really say more than that because it's still in progress."
What's more, George confirmed that the previously-mentioned sequel name, 'Mad Max: The Wasteland', is not sure to be the film's final title.
He told Digital Spy: "That name came out, that was just a working title.
"[Screenwriter] Nico Lathouris and I wrote deep backstories on all the characters and they eventually became screenplays - so we have two [more movies].
"I'm happy to say that there's discussions about them right now, but I hope the next film I make is a very small without any special effects and not many stunts."
'Mad Max: Fury Road' is the highest grossing film in the history of the franchise, having made $374 million worldwide.

Daniel Craig told to ‘shut up’ after bashing James Bond?

Daniel Craig has reportedly been told to "shut up" and stop bashing James Bond.
The 47-year-old actor - who reprises his role as the British secret service agent in the upcoming Bond film 'Spectre' - is said to have been given a slap on the wrist by Sony executives after he recently claimed he'd rather "slash his wrists" than play the character again.
And insiders have told the New York Post newspaper's PageSix that Craig's animosity towards the popular franchise was brought on by the difficulties involved in the latest film.
A source said: "They had problems initially with the script, Craig was injured on the set and needed knee surgery, and they were still doing re-shoots last month, even though the movie is out in weeks. It was a very difficult shoot, to say the least."
However, it's not just 'Spectre' bosses that are unimpressed with Craig's attitude as 'Grey's Anatomy' actress Ellen Pompeo wrote on Twitter that, "this dude needs a reality check", after hearing about his remark.
A Hollywood insider told PageSix: "Craig is pretentious and thinks he's better than Bond, that it doesn't give him the creative range he needs.
"Plus he hasn't had a big hit movie outside of the franchise, and he blames that on Bond."
'Spectre' is set for release in the UK on October 26 and worldwide on November 6.

Jennifer Connelly’s love of physics

Jennifer Connelly was "into physics" when she was younger.
The 44-year-old actress is very proud her eldest son Kai - whose father is her ex-partner David Dugan - is to study science at Yale University and she is convinced he will do much better at the subject than she did because he is "cleverer" than her.
She said: "He's into physics. I was. But he's much cleverer than me.
"I think it was clear to me that I didn't have the facility with the requisite tools that, for example, Kai has, so I shifted to more theoretical conceptual physics classes."
Instead, Jennifer - who also has kids Stellan, 12, and Agnes, four, with husband Paul Bettany - went on to major in English.
She added: "That was more up my strada."
The 'Noah' actress admitted different phraseology in the UK and US are a source of amusement for her and her British husband.
She said: "You know the word 'bum bag?' Paul just could not contain himself when he found out that was 'fanny pack' in America. He thought that was excruciating. He really, really laughed."
Though the family are usually based in America, they also enjoy spending time in London.
She told Tatler magazine: "Stellan was born in London and I think we're quite well assimilated.
"We rented a house in Notting Hill for the whole summer last year. It was, y'know, one of those idyllic houses with a gated garden that the kids could run around in, with a climbing structure and a Wendy house."

Kirsten Dunst’s baby hopes

Kirsten Dunst hopes having children is "easy" for her.
The 33-year-old actress - who is in a relationship with her 'On the Road' co-star Garrett Hedlund - worries more about her health than her career.
She said: "I think about having children. I hope that's easy for me. That's the stuff I worry about.
"Health. Am I dying? I'm like a Jewish mother."
Kirsten enjoys her low-key life in Toulca Lake, Los Angeles and claims it is so relaxed that she can go out in her pyjamas without attracting attention.
She said: "We're not in West Hollywood where everyone is on their frickin' cellphone taking pictures.
"Everyone in the Valley is normal style. It's not super-cool here. I usually wear my pyjamas and no one cares."
The 'Fargo' actress particularly likes where she lives because it is so close to the important people in her life.
She explained to Stylist magazine: "My mom lives in there, I live in there, my best friend lives over there.
"It's easy here and I'm like a little old lady. I walk to everything. There's my favourite sushi place, a bar with great hamburgers. We need a good restaurant though."

Matt Damon’s space needs

Matt Damon would bring 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare' to space.
The 'Martian' star, who plays an astronaut that gets marooned on Mars in the new movie, claims he'd load up on the British playwright's comedies and dramas before boarding a spaceship in real life "because you'd get a lot of bang for your buck that way."
Asked what else he'd pack, the 44-year-old actor said: "There's 40 percent of the gravity [on Earth], so I'd bring a basketball and be Air Jordan. And I'd need to have a picture of my wife and four daughters."
Aside from his family, Matt claims the only thing he'd miss about Earth would be "the election coverage," but would relish the opportunity to relax his diet.
Discussing the type of food he'd eat if he was weightless, he said: "A good pasta with maybe meatballs. I probably should have said broccoli and chicken, but I feel like if you're alone you really want comfort food."
Meanwhile, Matt thinks Matthew McConaughey played a better astronaut in 'Interstellar' than George Clooney did in 'Gravity'.
He told PEOPLE magazine: "I feel like Matthew gets the blue ribbon because George just got himself killed off so quickly - even though it was a noble death, he was still out of there in the first act - Matthew hung in there and showed a lot more fortitude, so I'd have to vote for him."

Colin Farrell struggles with distance

Colin Farrell hates working away from his family.
The 'Lobster' actor - who has sons James, 11, and Henry, five, from past relationships - used to enjoy living a life of luxury in different hotels around the world but these days would much rather have his home comforts.
He said: "I used to love making one movie after another and moving from one city to another and staying in palatial hotels.
"You never have to clean your room, you can order room service round the clock and you feel this freedom that comes from being able to wander around in life.
"Now I would much rather spend time at home with family and enjoy the kind of comfort that comes with that."
Colin is currently single, and admits life is "easier" without having to worry about bringing someone else into the spotlight.
He told HELLO! magazine: "It's very difficult to have a relationship when your life is the subject of so much attention and all the nonsense that comes with being a celebrity. Being single is a lot easier sometimes because you're not attracting all the speculation and fuss that comes with being with someone who's in my profession.
"And it's hard to spend time with a woman who is not part of the entertainment industry because you hate exposing them to that kind of scrutiny. Every time I think about getting involved in a serious way I have to think about everything that comes with that."

Tom Hiddleston: I’m easily mocked

Tom Hiddleston is "easily mocked".
The 34-year-old actor - who stars as Loki in the Marvel movies - has admitted that despite his large fan following, he isn't considered to be typically cool.
He explained: "There's just something very uncool about emotion.
"Is that right? Perhaps that's not quite right ... Passion is frequently uncool. And I've never been dispassionate for as long as I can remember. I'm so easily mocked. But that's the reason I'm sitting in front of you."
Despite this, Tom revealed he's content with how he comes across and has no ambition to present an insincere version of himself.
He told the Guardian newspaper: "I have tried with all of my power for there not to be any inauthenticity.
"There is no version of me presented to you that's been created or is artificial. The people I've always respected have an integrity that is unassailable."
And Tom confessed that his belief system is "unfashionable".
He said: "I believe in kindness.
"I believe very profoundly in that. I believe in bravery and courage, in being true to your word ... Very unfashionable."
