Mark Hamill will be fined if he spills Star Wars secrets

Mark Hamill will be fined if he reveals plot secrets from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 64-year-old actor is reprising his role as Jedi Luke Skywalker in the highly anticipated seventh instalment in the sci-fi film franchise and he's revealed he's been warned he won't get his full pay packet if any details of the storyline are leaked.
He explained: "I have something coming out where there's an amount of money that if it leaks because of me, I don't get that payment. If I keep it a secret until the day it comes out, I get that payment."
However, Hamill admitted he's not worried about letting anything slip as he's got experience in keeping 'Star Wars' secrets to himself.
Speaking about Darth Vader being unveiled as Luke's father Anakin Skywalker in 'Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back', he told PC Gamer: "I'm proud of the fact that I knew a year-and-a-half before anybody else that he was actually dad - Vader. I didn't even tell Harrison [Ford], or my wife, because I thought it would be terrible if she said 'You know what,' to a fan and it got out, because the director Irvin Kershner said, 'I know something, I'm going to tell you. George [Lucas] knows, I know and now I'm going to tell you, and if it leaks, we'll know it's you', because the line originally was, 'You don't know the truth, Obi Wan killed your father', and he said, 'We're going to take that line out and put in, 'I am your father.' "

Michael Fassbender asked Bale for advice for Steve Jobs

Michael Fassbender asked Christian Bale for advice on playing Steve Jobs - after the 'American Hustle' star turned down the role.
Bale was previously slated to star in the biopic 'Steve Jobs' but turned down the offer to portray the late Apple co-founder in Danny Boyle's movie.
Fassbender eventually went on to get the part but he was so sure his acting peer would have fantastic in the role that he decided to call Bale to talk about it after he signed on.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mail newspaper, he said: "I thought Christian Bale would have been fantastic for the part, so much so that I called him up and had a conversation with him - that's just the nature of it. There are plenty of people who can do what I do and there are a lot of actors who would be suitable for the part."
It was revealed in emails released in the Sony hack that Fassbender was nowhere near the top of the list of actors wanted by the production team to play Jobs but he says the information that came out doesn't bother him.
Fassbender - who has won critical acclaim for his performance in the film - explained: "I tell myself the others were never even in the picture. I'm used to the fact that a director or a producer or a team of people would want someone before me and I don't think that's unusual at all."
Fassbender stars in 'Steve Jobs' with Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels which focuses on the creation of Apple - which has gone on to become one of the biggest technology companies in the world.

Liam Hemsworth: I was an ‘outsider’

Liam Hemsworth felt like an "outsider" during high school.
The 'Hunger Games' star admits he has never felt as though he fits in and claims he is on a "different page" to everyone else.
He said: "I always feel that I'm on a different page to the people around me, I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm pretty outspoken on a lot of things that I believe in, and at high school I felt like an outsider in a lot of ways, and I don't know how to explain that.
"I'm always someone who preaches that you should be yourself and not conform to what society says of you: make decisions based on what you think is right, don't make decisions based on fear."
The 25-year-old actor - whose brothers Chris and Luke are also in the acting industry - may not feel like he is similar to others but admits he and his siblings all felt a huge sense of pride when they were able to pay off their family's debts.
He told The Independent newspaper: "[My father] called my brother Chris back and said: 'I don't know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I'd be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared.'
"They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us, I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that."

No comedy for Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara doesn't think she could do comedy.
The 30-year-old actress is a huge fan of 'Bridesmaids' but can't ever see herself starring in a similar film.
She said: "I love watching that stuff, I love 'Bridesmaids', and Kristen Wiig - I wish I could be like that but I'm just not.
"People always ask me that. Cate Blanchett doesn't do a lot of comedy either but for some reason I don't think she gets asked that question.
"Tragicomedy I'm down for. There has to be tragedy somewhere though, otherwise I don't wanna go."
Rooney also opened up about her struggles as a woman in Hollywood.
She told The Sunday Times Culture magazine: "Oh my God, you have no idea. At the end of the day, I have one life, one name that's mine. So people get enraged - 'You have an opinion about what we want to use you for? And how we're gonna portray you? How dare you.'
"It would be impossible for me to temper my voice, I am stubborn and opinionated. "

Rooney Mara reveals how she chooses movie roles

Rooney Mara won't accept a role if she's feeling "moody".
The 'Carol' actress admitted she frequently takes long breaks from her career if her "state of mind" isn't up to working, while at other times she books in back-to-back projects.
She said: "I'm an all or nothing person. I'm very moody and often my decision of whether to take a project depends on my state of mind at the time,
"There are moments in my life where I want to take a year off and not think about acting at all.
"Other times, I'll get excited about something and do three films one after the other."
The 30-year-old star needed a break after filming 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' because it left her in a "dark place".
Explaining why she initially turned down 'Carol', she told LOOK: "I had spent a year working on 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' and was in a dark place.
"I had given everything to that movie and knew there was no way I could do another film at that point."
Rooney is thankful she didn't embark on her acting career until after she had been to college and led a "normal" life, rather than following the path of her older sister, Kate Mara.
She said: "When I Was 11 or 12, it would have been easy for me to follow in my sister's path and work as a child actor.
"But I didn't want to grow up on screen and live on film sets. It's a very artificial place.
"I knew instinctively I would be a much better actor further down the road if I went to college and lived as normal a life as I could."

Kristen Stewart learns through acting

Kristen Stewart "learns more" about herself through her work.
The 'Equals' actress finds trying to understand her characters and their motives leads her to examine herself more deeply and gain a better understanding of herself.
She explained: "I see it as a means of looking more deeply into your own psychology when you're attempting to understand what makes your characters behave the way they do and who they really are.
"It's a process that helps me learn more about myself although I think just living every day and being with other people helps me do that too.
"I like to believe that I'm living as honestly and authentically as possible."
And the 25-year-old star has also found acting allows her to retreat from the "real world" and escape her own shyness and anxiety.
She admitted: "I've always been shy. I'm still that way even now, even after I've been in this business basically all my life and grew up knowing everything about the movies.
"Acting was always a refuge from the real world which allowed me to forget who I was and whatever I was anxious to do with my life."
Though she is passionate about her career now more than ever, Kristen didn't always want to be an actress.
She told Diva magazine: "I originally wanted to write and maybe work as a director, but then acting took over and that's become my main pursuit.
"I still love acting, maybe more than ever now that I'm doing the kind of work that I want to be doing."

Rooney Mara: Sex scenes with men and women are the same

Rooney Mara insists sex scenes with male or female partners are just the same.
The 30-year-old actress thinks the most important aspect of an intimate on-screen moment is capturing the "connection" between two characters - though she did find her love scene with 'Carol' co-star Cate Blanchett a lot softer than with a male co-star.
Asked the differences between having a male or female sex scene partner, she said: "It's not really any different, you're still trying to capture that kind of connection between your characters.
"But Kate has very soft skin, as opposed to most men."
Rooney is often so comfortable shooting sex scenes, she forgets she isn't wearing anything and walks round the set naked.
She admitted to LOOK: "Sometimes I'm more comfortable with the idea than other times, though.
"Like on 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', I would be shooting a scene where I'm nude and then afterwards would go over to the monitor and look at it and not even realise that I was naked.
"I don't feel our bodies are something we should be ashamed of."

Daniel Radcliffe excited about Potter spin-off

Daniel Radcliffe will be "first in the queue" to see 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them'.
The 26-year-old actor is excited at the thought of the 'Harry Potter' spin-off - which stars Eddie Redmayne - but is pleased he isn't going to be a part of the project and can just enjoy it as a fan.
He said: "I'm really happy they're doing it, but I like that I'm not involved.
"I know very little about it, but I'll be first in the queue."
The 'Victor Frankenstein' actor admits the film offers he received when he first ended filming on the wizarding franchise were "not good", with a particular low point being a movie he was offered with 'Harry Potter' co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
He recalled: "They weren't good [offers]. I was offered a remake of 'The Wizard of Oz' with Rupert and Emma.
"They wanted me to play a karate-kicking cowardly lion and presumably Emma would be Dorothy and Rupert would be Scarecrow."
The British star thinks he is a "much better" actor now than he was in previous years and is finally able to tackle certain roles.
He admitted to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "A lot of the work I'm doing right now, some of these scripts were floating around about five years ago and I needed to grow up before I went ahead. I'm a much better actor now."

Star Wars: The Force Awaken sells $50 million in advanced sales

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has already sold $50 million in advanced ticket sales.
The JJ Abrams-directed sci-fi movie is set for release next month and figures show that excitement has already reached record-breaking proportions, selling $6.5 million in just the first day of sale on October 19.
'Jurassic World' - which was released earlier this year - currently holds the biggest debut, with $208.8 million.
However, early indications suggest that the latest movie in the money-spinning 'Star Wars' franchise will break all box office records.
The news comes shortly after 'Star Wars' creator George Lucas vowed he'd never direct another movie in the series.
The 71-year-old director said he's been put off the idea by the criticism he's previously been subjected to.
Alluding to the negativity surrounding the prequels, he said: "You go to make a movie and all you do is get criticised, and people make decisions about what you're going to do before you do it.
"It's not much fun. You can't experiment. You can't do anything, you have to do it a certain way. I don't like that. I never did."
