James Cameron’s Avatar update

James Cameron is "just refining" the scripts for the 'Avatar' sequels.
The director of the highly-anticipated films, which are expected to start hitting cinemas in 2017, has revealed he is close to finishing the script and design process for the sequels to the 2009 movie and wants to prove the first film "wasn't just some big fluke".
He told Entertainment Weekly: "I'm in the process of doing another pass through all three scripts right now ... Just refining. That's in parallel with the design process.
"The design process is very mature at this point. We've been designing for about a year and a half. All the characters, settings and creatures are all pretty much [set]."
Meanwhile, Sigourney Weaver previously teased her character would be making a return in the sequels, despite being fatally wounded in the first movie as she claimed "no one ever dies in science fiction".
She shared: "I just know I'm playing a really cool character so I'm kind of working on it to the extent of what I know. We haven't started (filming) yet, but when we do, we'll all probably disappear off the face of the earth for a year and a half."

Jennifer Lawrence: It’s ‘too soon’ for a Hunger Games prequel

Jennifer Lawrence thinks it's "too soon" for a 'Hunger Games' prequel.
The fourth instalment, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2', was released just last month but there is already talk of another movie, although the 25-year-old beauty - who portrays Katniss Everdeen - insists she wouldn't get involved.
She told Variety: "I wouldn't be involved. I think it's too soon. They've got to let the body get cold, in my opinion."
Meanwhile, rumours of more movies has only been fuelled by comments made by Lionsgate's Vice Chairman Michael Burns, who alluded to the fact the franchise "will live on and on".
He later added: "If we went backwards there obviously would be arenas ... Whatever extensions of 'The Hunger Games' brand we pursue, the intent is not to glorify violence by arbitrarily telling arena stories, but to continue Suzanne Collins' exploration of the concepts of just war theory."
Jennifer also previously admitted she is ready to "move on" from the 'Hunger Games' franchise.
She shared: "It's crazy. I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, 'Oh my God, I'm going to be 25 when I'm finished. It seemed so far away.
"It does feel over. It didn't for a while and I didn't think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that's okay. It's okay to move on."

J.J. Abrams is ‘terrified’ by reaction to Star Wars: The Force Awakens

J.J. Abrams is "terrified" of the reaction to 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', according to Steven Spielberg.
The 49-year-old director has helmed the latest movie in the money-spinning franchise and Spielberg has admitted his friend is fully aware of the importance of the film to Disney, who acquired Lucasfilm in 2012.
Asked what he thought was currently going on in J.J's head, Spielberg told CBS: "Oh, J.J. is terrified.
"There's a lot of pressure on J.J. to start paying Disney back for, you know, the franchise they bought from George Lucas."
J.J., meanwhile, has admitted he expects 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' will have its critics, explaining that some people are simply determined to find faults in the work of others.
He said: "You just know that there will be people, no matter what you do, that will have issues with some aspect.
"You just know there is some number that is being thrown out there that will not be hit."
Recently, one of the movie's main stars Daisy Ridley revealed the director almost made her cry on the first day of shooting.
She explained: "I was petrified. I thought I was gonna have a panic attack on the first day. [I remember thinking], 'I can't do it.' Because JJ, he probably doesn't remember telling me that my performance was wooden.
"This was the first day! And I honestly wanted to die. I thought I was gonna cry, I couldn't breathe. And there were so many crew there, because obviously all the creatures [had stand-ins], and there were loads of extra crew making sure everyone was safe because it was so hot."

Ridley Scott teases details of Alien: Covenant

Ridley Scott has revealed 'Alien: Covenant' will feature some of the iconic creatures from the movie franchise.
The 78-year-old director is returning to helm the much-anticipated new movie in the money-spinning series, and he has been teasing details of the film.
Asked what type of creatures will feature in the new movie, Ridley said: "We'll have them all. Egg, face-hugger, chest-burster, then the big boy."
Ridley also revealed a few details of the plot and explained where the latest film fits in with the rest of the series.
He told TheWrap: "They're going to go to the planet where the engineers came from and come across the evolving creature that they had made. Why did they make it? Why would they make such a terrifying beast?
"It felt bio-mechanoid, it felt like a weapon. And so the movie will explain that, and reintroduce the alien back into it."
However, it was also recently revealed there will be a trilogy of new films, meaning the storyline is unlikely to come full circle until the last movie.
Ridley previously said: "I'm now going to the next one, which is the next evolution directly connected with the first one, which was this Shaw, when he replaced Michael Fassbender in two pieces and we'll kind of pick it up there and it will evolve.
"When that's finished there'll be another one and then another one which will gradually drive into the back entrance of the film in 1979.
"So in other words, why was this space jockey there and why did he have an Alien inside him? And those questions will be answered."

Adam Driver’s Star Wars nerves

Adam Driver is "nervous" about the release of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 32-year-old actor is set to play villain Kylo Ren in the latest instalment of the science fiction franchise and admits he is looking forward to "discover" the movie with everyone else.
He told The Telegraph magazine: "It's been three years so far, of not being able to talk about it. But I think it's fun to [see a film] and discover it with everyone else, as opposed to knowing everything beforehand.
"So I don't mind dodging questions, because I feel it will be more exciting, that the pay-off will be better. I'm excited for people to see it - and nervous. Everyone wants it to be good, and we're still very much working on it, fine-tuning and tweaking things."
Meanwhile, the 'Girls' star previously opened up about filming with the cast of the highly-anticipated movie, admitting it was similar to his time in the Marines.
He shared: "It's a group of strangers forced to be intimate in a short amount of time. A group of people trying to accomplish a mission greater than themselves. It's not about you. You have to know your role within a team and there's someone who's leading it and, if you're lucky, they know what they're doing."

Jessica Alba: ‘Doubters made me succeed’

Jessica Alba says doubters made her determined to succeed in Hollywood.
The 34-year-old actress has starred in movies including 'Fantastic Four', 'Sin City' and 'Little Fockers' and admitted she was driven to become successful by people who didn't believe in her.
She said: "People doubted me as an actress and that's something that drove me. I was not going to be pegged as an action-comic-book fangirl."
Director James Cameron, who gave Jessica her big break in TV series 'Dark Angel' when she was just 18, said he always knew she would be a star.
He explained: "This was a $125 million production and we were resting it on the shoulders of a teenager. She totally stepped up to the plate and didn't fall or falter."
Jessica has also branched out from acting to found her own billion-dollar company, Honest, which sells eco-friendly baby products and non-toxic cleaning supplies and admitted it has helped her overcome her insecurity about her acting.
She explained to Vanity Fair magazine: "When I first went to the Academy Awards in 2006, I remember thinking, 'If I talk to anyone for too long, they're going to know I don't belong here.' Now I have stopped caring so much about people liking me."

Chris Hemsworth feared Thor would flop

Chris Hemsworth worried he would be blamed if 'Thor' flopped.
The 32-year-old actor was a relative unknown when he was cast as the hammer-wielding God in the 2011 Marvel movie but admitted he was afraid that if it didn't go well, the fans would turn on him.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, he said: "When somethings costs $150 million and it doesn't work, it's your face, it's your fault. And the character has fans. Are they still a fan or did you just make them never want to read the comic again?"
Chris also opened up about getting the role over his younger brother Liam, 25, who originally got a call back when Chris didn't.
He said: "I had an audition with Ken [Branagh] that didn't go very well. I remember walking out thinking, 'Oh well, there goes that opportunity.' Then one day Joss [Whedon] and Drew [Goddard] were reading the trades, and on the front was the final four for 'Thor.'
"And they pointed to Liam and said, 'Hey, is that your brother?' And I said, 'Yeah.' And they said, 'Why the hell aren't you in the mix?' And I said, 'I didn't get a callback.' And they were like, 'This is crazy.' And I was like, 'If one of us gets it, that's cool.' And they were like, 'No way. That should be you.' And when casting opened back up, Joss called Ken and said, 'Give Chris another shot.' "

Julia Roberts loves Nicole Kidman

Julia Roberts is "in love with" Nicole Kidman.
The 48-year-old actress was delighted when her friend agreed to co-star with her in Secret In Their Eyes' and admitted she is in awe of the Australian star.
She said: "I've known her for a long time. She's such a great actress, and we all know that, and she's so breathtakingly beautiful, and we all know that, and she's a wonderful, dynamic human being.
"I truly adore her. I think we have very similar sensibilities and she's just incredible.
"She's a genuine person, I love her. I'm in love with her."
And Julia was overjoyed to work on the film alongside her cinematographer husband Daniel Moder - with who she has kids Hazel and Finn, 11, and Henry, eight - because he made her feel "safe".
She told OK! Magazine: "It's great because he's a constant source of inspiration to me and he has an impeccable work ethic.
"I had an enormous amount of blind faith in my preparation because my safest place in the world -Danny was right there.
"But he had his job to do and I had mine and there were only a couple of times where, at the end of the day, I was like, 'I need my husband'. I think that was fair. I think I'd earned that hug."

Kris Marshall is ‘baffled’ by Love, Actually’s popularity

Kris Marshall claims the 'Love, Actually' cast are "baffled" by its continuing popularity.
The 42-year-old actor - who portrayed unlucky-in-love Colin Frissell in the film - loves the fact watching the movie has become a festive tradition for many people but admits he and his co-stars had no idea it would be such a success.
He said: "When I see the cast, we're always baffled it became such a big thing.
"In America, they watch it in November for Thanksgiving, then it's on constantly until Christmas.
"It's great to be part of people's traditions too.
"I've just been out in America filming and got called 'Colin' every time I walked into a bar."
Kris - who has son Thomas, three, with wife Hannah - insists he is nothing like his character in the movie.
He said: "Colin is an absolute geek - when I was single, thank God I was nothing like him. He has a complete lack of awareness and is a total fantasist."
Though Kris doesn't hang out with members of the cast - which included Hugh Grant, Dame Emma Thompson and Martine McCutcheon - very often, he's always pleased to run into them.
He told Closer magazine: "A lot of us see each other around but I bumped into Hugh in a restaurant.
"We said hello and stopped for a chat. In acting, you're always seeing people around."
