Channing Tatum wrote "threatening" emails daily for a month to land his role in 'The Hateful Eight'.
The 35-year-old Hollywood hunk was so desperate to have a part in Quentin Tarantino's eighth movie, he did everything he could to ensure other actors didn't land the role.
He explained: "I basically sent about an email a day for about a month just threatening any other actors that might be up for the role. I was just praying that no one really tough was up for the role."
And sure enough, the legendary filmmaker took Channing under his wing and he now stars as Jody in the western - a role previously played by 'Dexter' star James Remar.
And when the 35-year-old actor went in for his first day on set, he was so nervous and excited to meet iconic actor Bruce Dern that he almost shook his hand off.
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he said: "I made this really dumb, overzealous decision and I pull him in really close, and this is at a table read, and I almost pull Bruce Dern out of his chair and he's like, 'You jerk! You almost pulled my arm out of the socket!"

Natalie Dormer would be interested in a 'Hunger Games' prequel.
The 33-year-old actress - who played rebel Cressida in the franchise - said that she would consider getting involved in a new movie in the series only if original 'Hunger Games' author Suzanne Collins is part of it.
She told Entertainment Weekly: "I adore Suzanne Collins for her bravery and her imagination and everything that is the success of 'The Hunger Games', the genesis, it all comes from Suzanne. She wrote such a complex world and yet at the same time had so many scenes that deal with all the things we're struggling with our own time and zeitgeist."
While Natalie is enthusiastic, star Jennifer Lawrence thinks it's "too soon" for a 'Hunger Games' prequel.
The fourth instalment, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2', and the 25-year-old beauty - who portrays Katniss Everdeen - insists she wouldn't get involved in a new movie.
She said: "I wouldn't be involved. I think it's too soon. They've got to let the body get cold, in my opinion."
Reports of more movies were fuelled by comments made by Lionsgate's Vice Chairman Michael Burns, who alluded to the fact the franchise "will live on and on".
He later added: "If we went backwards there obviously would be arenas ... Whatever extensions of 'The Hunger Games' brand we pursue, the intent is not to glorify violence by arbitrarily telling arena stories, but to continue Suzanne Collins' exploration of the concepts of just war theory."

Will Ferrell is never short of ideas for comedy.
The 48-year-old actor - who found fame over a decade ago as bumbling news anchor Ron Burgundy in 'Anchorman' and has churned out a string of hit movies since - revealed he rarely experiences writer's block and ideas come "easily" to him.
Asked if he is ever stuck for fresh material, he said: "I have never really had a shortage of ideas. I think it is the absence of ideas that is the cause of pain and frustration and that's when writers or comedians will say they can't be in relationships too long or can't be tied down, they have to put work first. But I have simply never felt that. The ideas have always come fairly easily."
Meanwhile, the comedic star also admitted he is a homebody and would be happy to hang up his acting boots - to look after the three children he has with his wife Viveca - if she ever wanted to pursue her own career ambitions.
He told the Observer: "I am often saying to my wife if she ever wants to go back and study I will be happy to stay home and pack up work and drive the boys to all their sports practices. I would love that."

Mackenzie Crook felt "pangs of nostalgia" when the cast of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' filmed the latest movie without him.
The 44-year-old actor - who played pirate Ragetti in the first three films - has confessed he felt slightly left out when Johnny Depp and the rest of the cast travelled to Australia to shoot the fifth instalment 'Dead Men Tell No Tales'.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I did sort of feel it was my time [to quit] but at the same time I can't help feeling little pangs of nostalgia because we had such an amazing time making those movies and to think that they're all off in Australia doing it again without me was a little bit... But yeah, I think my pirating days are over for now."
Mackenzie admitted that although he decided to quit the franchise, he can understand why they've continued to make more.
He said: "As long as there's an appetite. I mean, it all relies on Johnny and if he wants to do more, people will want to see Captain Jack Sparrow. As long as they get quality writers, they'll continue to make good movies."

Daisy Ridley was emotional at the end of filming 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 23-year-old actress - who has been widely praised for her portrayal of Rey in the new movie - admitted that she found it hard to say goodbye to the cast and crew once they wrapped the shoot.
Speaking at the press conference in London, she said: "I do remember one of my most touching moments was at the end, because you look back and you can't believe all the stuff that's gone on and all of the many months, and all of the incredible hard work, passion and energy that's been drawn from everyone and given graciously. So the last day I found probably the most emotional but the most exciting."
And Daisy praised co-stars Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher for being so "generous" to her as she joined the franchise.
She said: "There was a conversation with Harrison, and some things with Carrie. I think he just wanted to lead by example. So for me, it was amazing to see people who are so established with a huge career be kind and generous to everyone on set."

Joanna Lumley has compared her 'Absolutely Fabulous' character to an "alley cat".
The 69-year-old star reprises her role as party-loving Patsy Stone in the upcoming film adaptation of the classic comedy and has confessed she missed getting up to no good with co-star Jennifer Saunders, who plays Edina 'Eddy' Monsoon.
Asked what she enjoyed most about playing Patsy again, Joanna exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Just the bad behaviour. Just that extraordinary anarchic character who doesn't really belong to anybody, who is sort of an alley cat and closest friends with Edina. It was just fun to be them again. It's great, I think you're going to love it."
Joanna added that while she can't reveal many of the details of the movie just yet, she was thrilled to be reunited with her former co-stars.
She said: "I can't tell you very much about it except that we've got all of the original cast, which is June Whitfield, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks, the great Jennifer Saunders and yours truly. And we've got some beautiful new stars."

Anthony Daniels demanded a new C-3PO suit for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 69-year-old actor reprises his role as the droid in the latest installment in the sci-fi franchise, but admits he had to ask for some changes before putting his character's gold metallic bodysuit on again.
He said: "It's unconformable in all the places that when it is uncomfortable, it's very uncomfortable. When JJ asked me to be in the costume I said yes, but can we get a new one? After 40 years I think we have to change. It was beginning to smell pretty bad. And they 3D printed it."
Director J. J. Abrams gave Anthony the option of just providing the voice for the character, but the actor insists he would never have taken the easy route.
He explained during an interview on television show 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man': "I had a call from the producer who said, "Would it be alright if JJ Abrams called me?" What did I say? I said yes. Then he called and asked if I would be in the movie and I said yes. He asked if I would like to be just the voice and I said no and he said, "Quite right". It always is me in the suit."
Anthony isn't the only name from the original movies to make a return for the new film as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill also make comebacks.
And the actor admits the first read through was a memorable experience.
He said: "The first thing was a big read through with everybody in a huge circle and Harrison was there and Carrie and Mark and so on, and it was just magical. It really felt like coming home again after all these years."
