Mike Posner collaborates with James Blunt

James Blunt and Mike Posner have been working on music together.
The ‘Goodbye My Love’ hitmaker hasn’t released new material since his 2013 album ‘Moon Landing’ – which was re-released in November 2014 as ‘Moon Landing – Apollo Edition’ with five bonus tracks.
Earlier this year, Blunt announced that he’s started working on his fifth studio LP and it is expected to be released later this through Atlantic Records.
While little has been said about the record, ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’ hitmaker Posner has revealed he’s worked on some songs with his fellow singer/songwriter, but he’s not sure if they’ll feature on the final tracklist of 42-year-old Blunt’s LP.
Mike told Digital Spy: "I wrote with James Blunt this year. We wrote a couple of songs on the piano. I’m not sure if they’ll make his album but we’ll see. It was pretty cool. He’s really talented so I was so happy to work with him."
Blunt’s next gig will be performing at the Invictus Games 2016 in Orlando on May 8.
He previously wrote on his Facebook page: "Honoured to be playing at the Invictus Games 2016 opening ceremony on 8th May in Orlando! (sic)"
Posner – who has penned a number of chart-topping hits, including ‘Sugar’ by Maroon 5 and ‘Boyfriend’ by Justin Bieber – has also been working with superstar producer Naughty Boy.
The 28-year-old tunesmith has no regrets about giving away his songs and enjoys writing for other artists.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Um, no, I don’t regret giving away tracks. Basically I always write songs for myself and then at some point I base it on whether they fit with the project I’m working on or not, and if the answer is no, I think about who else could possibly sing it."
