Michelle Hardwick is ‘so proud’ of DIVA Awards nomination

Michelle Hardwick is delighted with her Actor of the Year nomination at the DIVA Awards 2019.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star – who has played Vanessa Woodfield since 2012 – has thanked her fans for their support after the shortlist was revealed for the upcoming event, and she is "very proud" of the team behind the soap.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "Well this is very lovely! Thank you to everyone who nominated me for the shortlist and thank you in advance to anyone who votes for me from now! (sic)"
Michelle – who is engaged to the show’s producer Kate Brooks – added on Twitter: "Thank you for the nominations! Very proud to be part of such a wonderful team (sic)"
The 43-year-old actress will be competing with Deiree Akhavan, Liz Carr, Genesis Lynea, Talisa Garcia, Maisie Richardson Sellers, Miriam Margoyles and Fiona Shaw.
The ITV soap has also landed a nomination in the Storyline of the Year category at the awards, which claims it is "the only sit-down, black-tie dinner and ceremony for lesbians and bisexual women in the UK".
‘Derry Girls’, ‘Casualty’, ‘Sally 4 Ever’, ‘Call My Agent’ and ‘Ackley Bridge’ have also been given the nod, while the TV Programme of the Year set of nominees include ‘The Bi Life’, ‘Killing Eve’, ‘The Bisexual’, ‘Sex Education’, Butterfly’ and ‘First Dates’.
What’s more, ‘Coronation Street’ star Dolly-Rose Campbell – who plays Gemma Winter – finds herself on the shortlist for the awards with a nomination in the Rising Star category.
Also on the shortlist for the prize are Rowan Ellis, Chelcee Grimes, IAMROOKES, Jessica Kellgren-Fozard and Dr Ronx.
The ceremony itself will take place at the Waldorf Hilton in Aldwych, London on June 7.
