Michael Fassbender promises action in Alien: Covenant

Michael Fassbender has promised there will be "aliens coming out of people" in ‘Alien: Covenant’.
The 39-year-old actor is reprising his role as android David in Sir Ridley Scott’s sci-fi sequel, the follow-up to ‘Alien’ prequel ‘Prometheus’, and he has told fans of the franchise top expect a lot more killer extra-terrestrial action this time round compared to the 2012 epic.
In an interview with Inquirer.net, he spilled: "There are going to be great sets and aliens coming out of people.
"The sets are fantastic. Again, the most impressive sets I’ve seen since ‘Prometheus’, which was the original setting. It’s a fantastic mixture of high-end technology and primitive elements. The way that I can explain it is the same way that Ridley did ‘Blade Runner’."
Fassbender and the rest of the cast, which includes Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir and Jussie Smollett, are currently shooting the project in Sydney, Australia.
Fassbender is keeping the details of the plot closely guarded and won’t be drawn on what will happen with the alien race the Engineers or the evolution of the acid-blooded xenomorph.
However, he admits he has been loving every minute of his reunion with Scott, 78, and watches everything the veteran British filmmaker does in order to learn what he can about the craft.
He said: "It’s amazing to watch Ridley work. I try to soak up as much knowledge as I can from him, because having worked on this kind of film a few times and having seen how many moving parts there are, how many people work on the set and how many departments need attention and the language, he’s an absolute master."
‘Alien: Covenant’ is scheduled for release in August 2017.
