Michael B. Jordan isn’t ‘comfortable’ with fame

Michael B. Jordan still isn’t "comfortable" with his fame.
The 31-year-old actor has found success in movies including ‘Fantastic Four’, ‘Creed’, and most recently as the antagonist Erik Killmonger in summer blockbuster ‘Black Panther’, but despite his growing fame, Michael admits he’s still struggling to come to terms with being recognised.
Speaking to Variety magazine, he said: "Navigating and learning how to deal with this s**t, there’s nobody that really helped me. I’m not comfortable yet because the people around me aren’t comfortable, either, and it’s like I gotta get to a place where I’m like, ‘All right, the thing is moving on its own. The machine is running,’ you know what I’m saying?
"Once it starts to roll on its own, I can kinda start to live my life a little bit more, and that’s the sacrifice that people don’t really get," he continued. "These people you see with these legacies, they don’t ever talk about what they sacrificed to get there. People think these things just happen. It’s not like that.
"They give up so much of their personal life, their love life, whatever, this, that, and personal things."
Meanwhile, the ‘Wire’ actor recently revealed he’s already thinking about the "legacy" he’ll leave behind, because he knows life is "short".
He said: "Legacy. Wanting to build one, wanting to leave something behind.
"Life is short, you know? You see cats who had their moment. Where are they now? Then you see cats people are still talking about today. God rest their souls – why are you still talking about them? Why are they still impacting the world today?
"I want to leave something behind. A blueprint. A work ethic. Something that my great-grandkids and their kids and their kids can see: This is where it started. Lineage. Intergenerational wealth. Things that are here forever. All that."
