Melissa remembers late mother Joan Rivers

Melissa Rivers knows her mother Joan would be "so proud" of her grand son.
The ‘Fashion Police’ star has remembered her late mother on the two-year anniversary of her passing and knows she would be thrilled to see how well her grandson Cooper, 15, is doing.
She wrote on Twitter: "Thank you all for the love today. Hard to believe it’s 2 yrs. Coop & I miss her every day.
"One thing I know is my mom would be so proud of the young man Coop has become. That makes me smile even today xx (sic)"
Meanwhile, Melissa previously admitted she is still not "in the healing phase" following Joan’s death.
She said: "I’m not quite in the healing phase. I think it’s coming. I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but I am not quite there yet."
Joan tragically passed away in September 2014 after complications following a routine endoscopy in New York and Melissa fought a legal case against the doctors treating her mother at Yorkville Endoscopy, claiming they were negligent.
She said in a statement released by her lawyers at the time: "In choosing to accept this settlement, I am able to put the legal aspects of my mother’s death behind me and ensure that those culpable for her death have accepted responsibility for their actions quickly and without equivocation."
Whilst her lawyers added: "We have agreed to keep the terms of the settlement confidential to make certain that the focus of this horrific incident remains on improved patient care and the legacy of Joan Rivers."
Joan tragically died from cerebral hypoxia, where the brain becomes damaged after being starved of oxygen.
