Meghan Markle has a ‘small group of friends’

Meghan Markle is "very loyal to a very small group of friends".
The ‘Suits’ actress has been dating Britain’s Prince Harry since mid-2016 and Amanda Dishaw – who runs the blog Meghan’s Mirror in partnership with her US-based colleague Christine O’Brien – has revealed the brunette beauty is only close with a small group of people.
Among Meghan’s close friends are the Toronto power couple Jessica and Ben Mulroney.
Ben, the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, is a well-known TV host and entertainment reporter in the Canadian city, while Jessica is related to the founder of a prominent shoe retailer.
What’s more, she is also fashion adviser to Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, who is the wife of Justin Trudeau, Canada’s Prime Minister.
Meghan also knows the Trudeaus through her humanitarian work and according to ex-society columnist Rosemary Sexton, the two high-profile families are "Canadian royalty".
Speaking to the BBC, she added: "It seems only fitting that she hangs around with [them]."
Meghan is also reported to have struck up a close friendship with the Duchess of Cambridge over recent months.
And Dishaw – who runs a site dedicated to the Duchess, too – believes she has already overtaken the 35-year-old royal as the most in-demand member of the family.
She explained: "It’s really interesting for us to see this shift in royal fandom – this big shift towards Meghan and distancing themselves from Kate."
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Prince Harry is to delay proposing to Meghan until after the Duchess – who already has Prince George, four, and Prince Charlotte, two – has given birth.
As a result, an engagement between Harry and Meghan will likely wait until after the new royal tot is born in April 2018.
An insider said: "There won’t be any announcement until at least after Kate has had her baby in April."
