Meghan Markle attends Queen’s Christmas lunch

Meghan Markle met a whole host of royal family members at the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (20.12.17).
The former ‘Suits’ actress attended her future grandmother-in-law’s bash in London with her fiancé Prince Harry, his brother Prince William, his wife Duchess Catherine and their children – four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte – among others.
Meghan, 36, dressed in a formal midi dress, which costs around £300, designed by Self Portrait, a brand popular with the Duchess of Cambridge.
At the meal, Meghan would have been introduced to the wider royal family, with the likes of Prince Michael of Kent, the queen’s cousin, his wife Princess Michael and their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor, and Princess Eugenie in attendance.
It comes after Meghan agreed to celebrate the festive season with the royal family at Sandringham House in Norfolk, England.
Kensington Palace confirmed the couple will also enjoy the festivities with Harry’s brother William, Catherine and George and Charlotte.
The brunette beauty and 33-year-old flame-haired prince are expected to attend the traditional morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church on December 25.
Meghan will probably be among the select few of the royal family to speak with the public before and after the service and receive bouquets of flowers.
The Royals will then return to Sandringham House for a lavish Christmas lunch before watching the Queen give her famous speech to the nation in the afternoon.
But there will be no exchanging of gifts that day as the family swap presents on Christmas Eve (24.12.17) – keeping in with German tradition.
Meghan will become the first royal fiancée to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth as it is said that usually the royal family only accept married couples to join them for Christmas, but they are making an exception this year for Harry and his partner.
The pair, who will tie the knot in May 2018, will then jet back to the States to ring in the New Year with Meghan’s family.
