Megan McKenna’s new single debuts at Number 5 in UK iTunes charts

Megan McKenna’s new single has reached Number 5 in the UK iTunes charts.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star dropped her new track ‘High Heeled Shoes’ when her show ‘There’s Something About Megan’ wrapped up last night (05.09.17) and it’s already proved a huge hit with fans as it’s entered the charts in a high spot.
Taking to her Twitter account this morning (06.09.17), the brunette beauty wrote: "To wake up and be number 5 in the charts! AHHHHHH! This is madness! Thankyou all so much for downloading and loving my music! (sic)"
And the 24-year-old singer’s other song ‘Far Cry From Love’, which she wrote with country artist Beth Nielsen Chapman while she was shooting her show in Nashville, Tennessee, over the summer, is following closely behind in Number 8.
But she’s hopeful that she can climb up the charts to nab the top spot.
She added: "Let’s get me to Number 1 in the iTunes Charts! ‘High Heeled Shoes’ & ‘Far Cry From Love’ on iTunes AND Spotify! http://smarturl.it/HighHeeledShoes (sic)."
And Megan has already achieved some big success as both tracks have claimed first and second in the country charts on iTunes – making her the "happiest girl" alive.
She said: "Ahhh and number 1 & 2 in the country charts! Ok I can’t thank you enough to downloading my music. You’ve made me the happiest girl! (sic)"
Meanwhile, during her time across the pond, Megan performed in a number of high-profile bars and has admitted she never expected to do so well over there.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I’m absolutely buzzing, so happy with how it went twitter has been non-stop. I can’t believe some of the things I did out there, the producers I worked with, they believed in me out there, at first I thought they wouldn’t take me seriously but as soon as they heard me singing more doors were opening up."
