Maya Jama and Stormzy have to "work" at their relationship.
The 23-year-old television presenter has been dating the ‘Cigarettes & Cush’ hitmaker for coming up for four years now but she has admitted it’s not always "smooth sailing".
Speaking to OK! magazine, the brunette beauty said: "It just works. I don’t think there’s a recipe for good relationships. Obviously you’ve got to work at things as well, not everything is just smooth sailing the whole time.
"But if you just get on with somebody and you like them as a person it makes the whole experience a lot easier, if you’re actually friends."
But Maya doesn’t know if they’d be as solid if she still worked as a sales assistant.
She explained: "You’ve got the same interests.
"It kind of goes hand in hand if he’s performing at an awards show and I’m doing the red carpet there, it’s nice you can have your jobs together, which is a good thing.
"I suppose you understand each other’s jobs a lot more than if I worked at Urban Outfitters still and he was travelling the world! It probably wouldn’t feel that nice."
And it doesn’t look like it’ll be long before the 25-year-old grime artist pops the question.
The ‘Big For Your Boots’ hitmaker said recently: "I’m still so young but I want to propose, it’s going to happen and I will do it right. She is so sick, she is the best."
The pair love to "chill" together when they get time off, but if they want to enjoy a romantic meal together they’ll have to go out, as neither of them are good cooks.
Asked who is the best chef, Maya said: "Neither of us! I am learning, though.
"I’ve always made sandwiches. I’ll make cold food for as long as possible.
"I blame it on my lack of time. My work is very social, so when I get a chance I just lie on the sofa, chill, eat crisps and watch Netflix."
