Maura Higgins hosting This Morning travel segment

Maura Higgins is hosting a new travel segment for ‘This Morning’.
The 28-year-old ‘Love Island’ star will be showing viewers of the ITV daytime programme the wonders of her home country in a series titled ‘Maura’s Love Ireland’.
Host Phillip Schofield shared the news with viewers during an interview with Maura and her man Curtis Pritchard on the ‘This Morning’ sofa on Wednesday (04.09.19).
He said: "You’re doing your Ireland films for us as well. I don’t know whether we’ve even mentioned that but it’s going to be Maura’s Love Ireland."
Maura – who is from Ballymahon, County Longford – can’t wait to show off all the beautiful locations that Ireland has to offer, despite the regular bouts of rain.
She said: "I’m going to be exploring Ireland and showing the viewers why Ireland is such an amazing country to visit, there’s so much to do, it’s beautiful and even though we have a lot of bad weather it is still amazing."
It is the second job Maura has landed on ‘This Morning’ – which is also presented by Holly Willoughby and husband and wife duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford – since leaving the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The brunette beauty already acts as an agony aunt for phone-ins in which she dispenses dating advice and gives her opinions on other dilemmas that are being faced by callers.
Before beginning the job, Maura said: "I’m getting flutters about joining ‘This Morning’. I can’t believe it. It’s beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve grown up watching Phillip, Holly, Eamonn, Ruth and the team. Mad to think I’m now part of that iconic family."
