Martin Kemp slams Big Reunion

Martin Kemp has taken a swipe at bands who do ‘The Big Reunion’.
The 55-year-old singer is adamant his group Spandau Ballet would never sign up to the reality-documentary series, which sees chart-topping acts who were big in the pop scenes during the 90s and reform later down the line, because they’re too successful and have played some big arenas over the years.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "No we would never do ‘The Big Reunion’ because we did three nights at the O2 [in London], what will we do ‘The Big Reunion’ for? We performed in front of 45,000 people."
The silver fox is currently sitting on the judging panel on ‘Let It Shine’, which aims to find five singers and dancers to replicate Take That in a musical, alongside Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Amber Riley and hopes the second series, if it gets the go ahead, will be based on the ‘Gold’ hitmakers.
He said recently: "I think Spandau have an amazing catalogue of songs. I think what we’re trying to do here with Gary’s show, it’s for everybody who lived through that period of boybands.
"And I think there’s also a generation that lived through that period of boybands of the 80s like Spandau and Duran Duran. So yeah I think you could do that."
