Mark Wright was forced to miss his cousin Elliott Wright’s wedding yesterday (01.10.17).
The 30-year-old presenter didn’t get to watch his close relative tie the knot with his partner Sadie Stuart in Marbella, Spain, over the weekend because he wasn’t able to leave his new celebrity correspondent job for the US’ ‘Extra’ across the pond.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Elliott, 35, said: "When Mark took the job in America he said there was a chance he wouldn’t be able to come. I’m very close to Mark and we will both be upset he can’t be there. But I know this job was the chance in a lifetime for him. I’m proud of him and there’s no hard feelings."
But Mark wasn’t the only one missing from the wedding party as his wife Michelle Keegan, 30, also had to skip the romantic nuptials because she’s away filming the third series of her army drama ‘Our Girl’ in South Africa, Malaysia and Nepal.
However, although they didn’t get to be involved in Elliott’s big day, they’ll still get to watch the romantic ceremony unfold as he and Sadie agreed to film it for a TV show.
Taking to his Instagram account recently, Elliott said: "Sadie and I are really excited to officially announce that we have a new TV show with @limepictures @itvbe. They will be following us in the weeks leading up to the biggest day of my life, #thewedding. (sic)"
The show, which is expected to hit screens later this month on ITVBe, will be a two-part special and will document the highs and lows of wedding planning abroad.
Elliott – who has two children from his previous relationship – started dating Sadie in 2015 and popped the question to her during his summer series ‘Playa in Marbella’ last year.
