Mariah Carey won’t sing at her wedding.
The ‘Fantasy’ hitmaker – who has twins Moroccan and Monroe, five, with ex-husband Nick Cannon – is currently planning her nuptials to billionaire James Packer but won’t be providing the entertainment as she thinks that would be "obnoxious".
She said: "Why would you sing at your own wedding? It’s obnoxious!"
The ‘Hero’ singer also revealed she has picked out her wedding dress, but confirmed her ‘Sweet Sweet Fantasy’ tour has meant she and her fiance have had to delay their big day.
Though Mariah enjoys preparing for red carpet events, she admitted she finds it hard to leave home because her kids beg her to stay with them.
Speaking at the 27th Annual New York GLAAD Media Awards in New York on Saturday night (14.05.16) – where she picked up the Ally Award – Mariah told People magazine: "When I’m all ready, they’re like, ‘Mommy, stay home, we want you to stay home.’
"So it’s not as easy as it used to be to get ready and go to an event. I have to make sure they’re good and settled and then leave."
Though the 46-year-old star has been joined on her world tour by the twins, she is finding it chaotic if she has them out on stage with her.
She said: "I’ve been bringing them up onstage when I was on tour, because they wanted to be onstage.
"But then they just kind of run around. And, I’m like ‘Ah, somebody help.’ I had, at that time, two four year olds running around stage, and it doesn’t work."
It was recently claimed the singer has embarked on a fish-only diet in a bid to slim down for her wedding.
A source said recently: "Mariah has salmon for breakfast, sole for lunch and tuna for dinner."
The one bright spot in Mariah’s diet is just one portion of fruit a day, but the tough regime is already paying off as she has dropped a further 15lbs after further restricting her previous low-carb eating plan.
However, after dropping two dress sizes already, her fiance is keen for her not to lose any more weight.
The source added: "James is worried she will lose her curves.
"He’s told her she should slow down as it’s her bum and cleavage he adores."
