Marcel Somerville ‘glad’ he snubbed rap record

Marcel Somerville is "glad" he turned down the chance to be part of Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay’s rap song ‘Little Bit Leave It’ after the controversy it caused.
The ‘Love Island’ stars found themselves in hot water with Lethal Bizzle last month when he incorporated his phrase "leave it, yeah" into their debut single and, on reflection, the Blazin’ Squad hunk is relieved he snubbed their offer to join forces.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the KISS House Party in London last night (26.10.17), Marcel said: "No, I don’t regret not being involved, not really. there’s been a lot of controversy around the song so I’m quite glad I’m not involved in it."
And the 31-year-old singer’s girlfriend Gabby Allen – who he met in the villa over the summer – is equally pleased he didn’t get caught up in the drama of the single.
He explained: "I just think that whole thing I don’t know whether it’s been blown out of proportion or not and I’m always a few days behind on the news anyways but it’s kind of, it’s come unnecessary to me."
Marcel doesn’t think Chris’ row with Katie Price, in which he accused her of sending him flirty messages and then released the screenshots online, would have blown up so much if the argument with Bizzle was settled more privately and quickly.
He said: "It’s a bit crazy, it’s a massive beef, their first rap beef has come with Katie Price, it’s crazy but it’s the industry they wanted to be in."
And Gabby thinks the 25-year-old farmer was silly to mess with the former glamour model, 39, because she’s been in the industry a lot longer and people love her.
She added: "I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of Katie Price!
"I just think she’s been around for so long and whether people like her or not, she’s massive in the industry and everyone knows who she is and I’d rather her like me than not like me put it that way!"
