Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen’s mothers are proud of them

‘Love Island’ contestants Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen have made their mothers proud during their time on the show.
The blonde beauty and former Blazing Squad member took a shine to each other from the moment they both arrived, and Marcel’s mother, Corleta, has admitted to being thrilled by her son’s showing on the programme.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, Corleta explained: "He’s actually warmed my heart so much because he’s lovely anyhow but now seeing him on TV, watching him like everybody else and just seeing his naturalness come out … and just thinking he’s actually taken on board everything that he’s seen in life and what they’re trying to teach you.
"Everyone is saying to me that he’s taken after me because that’s what normally happens. A friend would call and I’ll try to give them good advice and say it’s going to be alright and now Marcel’s doing the same thing. He’s made us so proud."
Meanwhile, Gabby’s mum Paula revealed she gets anxious watching the ITV2 show, but is happy her daughter has found Marcel.
Paula said: "It makes me feel very anxious as I watch her, but it also makes me get very emotional because I miss her.
"But I think they’re just, you know, she’s found Marcel and it’s going to be great for her and I think that’s it."
By sharp contrast, Gabby was recently branded a "tramp" by British singer Adele.
The 29-year-old star paused halfway through her concert at Wembley Stadium last week to reveal that she and her husband Simon Konecki – with whom she has four-year-old son Angelo – are addicted to the show.
But Adele admitted she isn’t a fan of the blonde contestant.
She said: "I mean ‘Love Island’, shall we talk about that? Jesus Christ. My husband and I watched it last night. Real people have real sex on real TV.
"When that girl Facetimed her mum ‘mum are you proud of me?’ No she ain’t. No she f***ing ain’t proud of you, you tramp!"
