Luisa Zissman: Dancing on Ice wouldn’t have me

Luisa Zissman was keen to appear on ‘Dancing on Ice’ – but the show "wouldn’t have her".
The 31-year-old TV personality was keen to get her skates on for the ITV reality series, but her agent told her she would need to lose her "baby weight", and she has now set her sights on appearing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ instead.
When asked if she would appear on the BBC Latin and ballroom show, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "They wouldn’t have me anyway. I wanted to do ‘Dancing on Ice’ but they wouldn’t have me.
"I had just had a baby and my agent was like, ‘You probably need to lose your baby weight before you do ‘Dancing on Ice’,’ and then they signed up Gemma Collins.
"I would definitely do ‘Strictly’ – why not? The ‘Strictly’ curse does seem to be alive and well every year.
"I’d like to think I’d be it purely for dancing and the outfits."
Luisa – who shot to fame after finishing second on the ninth series of ‘The Apprentice’ – is currently co-hosting podcast ‘Loose Lips’ with TV presenter Anna Williamson in which they debate the week in the life of women and celebrities.
Anna, 37, admitted she would also be positive about appearing on ‘Strictly’ and firmly believes the pair would never fall under the show’s so-called curse – which has seen celebs take part in the programme only to fall for their pro dancing partners – because they both have "staunch loyalty" to their family.
The former ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ presenter added: "One thing that does unite Luisa and I is our staunch loyalty to our family.
"I’d like to think if we went on ‘Strictly’, we wouldn’t be naughty-naughty – we’d just be doing the dancing!"
The pair have been overjoyed at the success of their podcast, and believe their raw honesty has help to draw in listeners.
Anna said: "We’re not talking about these things to create sensational headlines.
"We’re just speaking quite honestly, openly and fairly."
