Love Island’s Ellie Brown calls time on her romance with Alex George in tonight’s (25.06.18) episode after he blasts her as "rude".
The 20-year-old business development manager has a heated heart-to-heart with the 27-year-old doctor in which she says she is "ending something with somebody who I know has got a kind heart" and admits they have no "sexual chemistry".
Alex is left fuming after the conversation, and beforehand he also admits being "very annoyed" with her, saying he is "suspicious" that she is a game-player after she put in "zero effort" following their recoupling.
He says: "I think she’s being rude at the moment. She’s very rude, very rude.
"I don’t really know what’s going on with her. I need to see what’s going on. She said how much she’s going to want to make effort. It’s just a bit weird that now we’ve recoupled the effort’s gone down, not up. Everything I do seems to do nothing.
"If I put too much effort it’s like putting pressure on. It’s difficult, I don’t really know what the answer is now.
"Have I offended her? Have I done something? For me it’s more the thing of why? Why did you recouple? It was literally recoupling done, effort zero. Bit suspicious."
But when some of the girls say that he and Ellie will remain friends no matter what happens, he fumes: "Absolutely not. I wouldn’t treat someone like this. Absolutely not. I am very annoyed."
Alex vents his feelings in the Beach Hunt and admits he worries she is "not the person I thought she was".
He says: "I want to have a conversation with Ellie because there’s a few things I’ve noted since the recoupling. She hasn’t really spoken to me, she’s made no effort outside of challenges or dates that we’ve been put on. And I think she’s been rude at times as well.
"I think she’s not the person I thought she was. I just wonder whether people would think that what she’s doing is playing games. I’m just throwing that out there. I just wonder if that’s a possibility. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe that’s unfair.
"But until I speak to her I don’t think I’ll know that answer. So yeah, we need to speak. But as far as I’m concerned, she’s not the person I thought she was."
Later in the ep, Alex and Ellie have a heart-to-heart which leads to a heated disagreement and she admits there is "no chemistry" between the pair.
She says: "I don’t think there’s any sexual chemistry between us. I’m sitting here now ending something with somebody who I know has got a kind heart, I know is genuine and it hasn’t been an easy thing for me to do, so yeah…."
Elsewhere, Megan Barton Hanson is left "absolutely fuming" when Eyal Booker incorrectly guesses she has slept with 37 guys.
She fumes: "I’m not the most innocent of girls, but it doesn’t mean that I’ve gone around sh***ing everyone I can. I was absolutely fuming."
