Love Island stars to appear on Strictly Come Dancing?

BBC bosses are reportedly interested in having former ‘Love Island’ stars appear on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The corporation has previously been reluctant to have reality TV stars appear on one of its flagship programmes, but the BBC now appears to have performed a dramatic U-turn and is apparently open to casting the likes of Camilla Thurlow and Montana Brown in the future.
A source said: "Though they don’t want to admit it, everyone on the production team behind ‘Strictly’ is obsessed with ‘Love Island’."
The corporation’s change of mind has also coincided with the increasing difficulty the BBC has experienced in getting genuine A-list talent on the programme.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "The casting team have struggled to get big names involved and as ‘Love Island’ appeals to a range of audiences, it makes sense to get them involved."
This comes shortly after it was claimed the BBC was struggling to attract talent for the new series of ‘Strictly’ because of the show’s so-called curse.
A number of celebrities have seen their relationships collapse because of their appearance on the show, and that has reportedly made A-listers reluctant to appear on the programme.
The new series will feature the likes of Mollie King and actress Gemma Atkinson.
But an insider recently said: "It’s a dire line-up and everyone knows it. Some of them are bound to only last weeks as no-one has ever heard of them.
"Even staff at the BBC have admitted they had to Google some of them. They’ve really struggled with big names this year."
