Love Island producers ‘forced to cut sex sessions’

‘Love Island’ producers are having to cut footage of the show because the couples are having so much sex.
The ITV2 programme is designed for single lads and girls to pair up while in the villa, but some couples are apparently having too much sex for the liking of the TV bosses.
A source explained: "Some couples can’t stop having sex and are going at it almost every night.
"Producers are being ultra-careful not to let sex become the focus of the show so have refrained from airing saucy scenes."
Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay have reportedly romped as many 12 times during their time on the programme, but only three of their steamy sessions have made it to air.
Similarly, Jess Shears and Dom Lever are said to have had sex eight times before they left the show, and yet only one of their love-making sessions was broadcast.
The ‘Love Island’ insider told The Sun newspaper: "Countless sex sessions have been left on the cutting room floor over fears they could be seen to be sensationalising sex if it’s on every night."
The steamy scenes have helped ‘Love Island’ to attract better-than-ever ratings, but bosses at ITV are determined to ensure that sex doesn’t overshadow other aspects of the programme.
A ‘Love Island’ spokeswoman said: "The show isn’t about sex, it’s about following the couples’ journeys.
"We only show moments of intimacy when we feel it is important to a couple’s story."
The statement comes shortly after Jess revealed she has already discussed starting a family with Dom.
Reflecting on their burgeoning romance, the reality TV star recently said: "We’re definitely planning marriage and babies.
"For me marriage is just a piece of paper to show that you promise to spend the rest of your life with that person but I want to. I’ve been engaged before, but never like this. It’s the real deal."
