Love Island girls ‘to move to Casa Amor’

Love Island’s female contestants look set to move to Casa Amor for the first time.
Previously, the ITV2 dating show has given male islanders the chance to relocate to the second villa and have their relationships tested by introducing them to six new female singletons.
While plans are still being "discussed with producers", it is expected the girls will head over to the other residence this year to meet a group of six new boys, with six new girls heading into the main villa to test the current lads.
A TV source told The Sun Online: "In an epic plot twist the female Islanders will head to Casa Amor while the boys stay put at the main villa.
"The finer details are still being discussed with producers but the plan is for all the Islanders to leave the main villa in four Land Rovers.
"The girls will travel to Casa Amor but the boys will be redirected back to the villa."
This news comes after speculation that the second villa may be axed after last year, when Dani Dyer was shown a clip of Jack Fincham revealing in Casa Amor that he used to date one of the then-new Islanders, Ellie Jones.
The incident sparked more than 2,500 complaints to Ofcom after Dani wasn’t shown footage of Jack declaring his love for her, but ‘Love Island’ was cleared of any wrongdoing.
A source said: "Casa Amor was the ultimate test for islanders in their new romances – and viewers were left on the edge of their seats as producers teased potential betrayals and heartbreak.
"But after two years there are concerns the rival villa won’t have the same impact and that new islanders who’ve watched the show will see it coming.
"It all depends what happens when the series starts – there’s still a possibility Casa Amor will be used but at the moment producers aren’t certain."
However days later, show boss Angelia Jain hinted the twist could well be included once again, admitting the Islanders’ relationships will be "tested" with "format twists" throughout the series.
She said: "What we do in terms of format twists – as this is ongoing casting – we’re trying to mirror real life and relationships do get tested, that’s entirely normal.
"So we will test them and the islanders are fully aware their relationships will get tested.
"We will do that because that’s the expectation for the audience and the islanders."
