Louis Walsh stripped off to have a chat with Matt Edmondson’s on his first day on ‘The Xtra Factor’.
The radio DJ got the surprise of his life when the ‘X Factor’ judge came in, pulled his shirt off and flashed his stomach as if it was "normal" to be semi-naked in front of him when he turned up to film on his first day as the spin-off co-host.
Matt explained:"My first day on ‘Xtra Factor’, he [Louis] walked into my dressing room, got topless and continued to have a chat, which he thought was normal."
Although he found Louis’ stripping session a little bizarre, the 30-year-old hunk – who has taken over from Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom on the ITV talent show’s sister programme along with Rylan Clark-Neal – loved picking the 64-year-old music manager’s brain over stars he’s met.
He told Metro newspaper: "Louis Walsh is the funniest and cattiest, candid man.
"I love throwing names of famous people at him, ‘What’s this person like?’, and he’ll give me his full breakdown – probably that they’re an awful human being!"
As for the other judges, Matt wasn’t so full of praise when it came to Sharon Osbourne.
He said of the 63-year-old star: "She’s got two Pomeranians, which I’ve been obsessively petting, and she’s obsessively petting me and talks to me like a dog."
However, Matt doesn’t mind being head-judge Simon Cowell’s top dog.
He added: "Simon’s taken a shine to me.
"People keeping saying, ‘Si, absolutely loves you!’
"He never normally stays on ‘Xtra Factor’ for that long – you normally get a cigarette break, plus 30 seconds – but he’s been spending ages with us."
‘The Xtra Factor’ returns to ITV2 on Saturday September 27 at 9.30pm.
