Lisa Faulkner and John Torode are engaged.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress took to her Instagram account to reveal the ‘MasterChef’ judge popped the question to her on Christmas Day (25.12.18) while they were on holiday, and as a result the 46-year-old star can’t wait to "embrace every minute of" 2019.
She wrote: "My gorgeous John completely surprised me on Christmas Day and asked me to marry him! After waiting to tell our family when we got home we then had a few days just grinning at each other!! Im so very happy to share our lovely news with you. Happy 2019 it’s going to be quite a year and I’m going to embrace every minute of it. All you need is love. Love is all you need. (sic)"
Lisa wrote her message alongside a selfie with John, in which she showed off her huge sparkler on her engagement finger.
John, 53, also took to Instagram to share a snap of the former ‘Holby City’ star with a big grin on her face on their holiday.
He wrote: "And she said YES !! Bloody love my Lisa .. Have put a ring on it (sic)"
Over the festive period, John wished his fans a merry Christmas and admitted he was having fun in the sun with his significant other.
He shared: "Happy Holidays you all .. hope you had the bestest Christmas .. I have love my time in the sun @lisafaulkner1 (sic)"
On Christmas Day, Lisa wrote: "Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas! lots of love from me and @johntorodecooks (sic)", but her engagement finger was covered up in the photo.
The couple met when Lisa won ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ in 2010, and they started dating in 2012.
