Lily Allen’s daughter has nits.
The 31-year-old singer – who has Ethel, four, and three-year-old Marnie with her estranged husband Sam Cooper – was left retching on Monday (26.09.16) after she picked up a strand of hair to find the itchy creepy crawlies – also known as head lice – feeding on her child’s blood.
The ‘Alfie’ hitmaker uploaded a photo of her daughter with wet hair alongside the medical emoji on Instagram.
It’s not yet known which of Lily’s daughters has the insect infestation but it’s believed it could be Ethel as she has only just started reception and nits are a common problem in children at primary school aged between four and 11.
Lily may be keen to keep her fans updated with her life on Instagram but she’s temporarily shut down her account on Twitter after she was criticised earlier this month for collapsing at Notting Hill Carnival in London following a heavy drinking binge.
Speaking previously about her decision to quit Twitter, the star said: "Truth is I’m just a lightweight, I had 2 cans of strongbow on an empty stomach. I’m here now and I’m absolutely fine. (sic)."
Lily has also faced claims that her career and personal life are in tatters, although she’s adamant she’s been on the down-low because she’s recording her fourth album.
She said: "I have been busy recording my fourth solo album and it’s very close to being finished. I have postponed its delivery because I want to be on hand to settle my daughter (Ethel) into big school this Sept. (sic)"
