Leona Lewis ‘lined up for X Factor role’

Leona Lewis is reportedly being lined up for the all-new ‘X Factor’.
After Simon Cowell revealed he would be shaking the singing competition up in a major way in 2019 – with plans for two different series being discussed – it’s said the show’s 2006 champion could make a big return after appearing during the mogul’s judges’ houses stage.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Bizarre column: "Simon definitely wants her in the frame. He was impressed with her input on the series last year and is working out how they can keep her in the picture."
The report comes after the show’s boss Simon opened up about his plans for ‘The X Factor’ this year as he looks to react to a decline in ratings.
He recently said: "I want to clear up any myths — because I’ve got some exciting news. I’ve had a meeting with ITV, I’ve told them what I think we’d like to do with ‘X Factor’ because we’ve been waiting to have this opportunity.
"The time feels right, and it will be a huge change. We haven’t exactly confirmed the dates or the order of the shows, but essentially there are going to be two versions of X Factor running this year.
"I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in years."
The show’s boss also opened up on the potential panel for the new formats, and said he is hopeful last year’s judges – Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field – will be back.
He said: "I think and hope the panel will be the same. I’m literally speaking to Robbie tonight because he’s been busy, I’ve been filming, so I’ll have more news again on that soon."
