Laura Whitmore confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing

Laura Whitmore has been confirmed for this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 31-year-old presenter has become the first female to join the official line-up of the forthcoming series of the Ballroom and Latin show.
She said: "It’s an incredible show and I feel so honoured to be asked to be part of it. I’m not going to lie, I’m slightly petrified too!"
However, the former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! NOW!’ host is looking forward to letting her hair down and learning some new tricks from the talented professionals.
She explained: "Anyone who has ever met me knows this. I just love the endorphins it releases and it ties in to my love of music. I am a bit of a silly dancer so I’m looking forward to a bit of discipline."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty isn’t the only one who is anxious for the forthcoming series as her fellow competitor Ed Balls is also terrified.
He said recently: "I’d like to say I’m just really excited about learning to dance on TV, but the truth is I’m also scared to death. Making a speech in Parliament seems a piece of cake compared to this, but hopefully I can stick around for a couple of weeks, and have a lot of fun in the process."
Will Young has also been confirmed for the new series, although he’s feeling a lot more relaxed about his debut on the dance floor as he’s no stranger to snake hips and a booty shake following his theatre production of ‘Cabaret’ the musical, in which he was nominated for an Olivier Award, in 2013.
He said: "As a fan of ‘Strictly…’ for years, I have always imagined myself on the show, but the timing has not been right… until now!"
The rest of the line-up is yet to be announced but it is believed Frank Bruno and Judge Rinder are currently on the hit list for the glitzy programme.
