Lady Lykez to drop new album this year

Lady Lykez is set to release a new album later this year.
The ‘Psycho’ songstress has just dropped her latest single ‘What Are Those’ – which features the rapper Face on it – and is now back in the studio co-producing music for her upcoming album ‘Lights Camera Action’.
Lady Lykez – who made history by being the first ever female to clash against a guy on the legendary Lord of the Mics 7 – exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’m working on my album at the moment. So that’s my main focus right now. I’m busy getting this project together, it’s called ‘Lights Camera Action’. It’s very exciting."
Known for her controversial lyrics, the ‘Chat 2 You Man’ MC admits all of her lyrics are inspired by personal experiences and she thinks it’s incredible important to be honest in your music.
She said: "All of my music has come from something that has happened to me, my life is my inspiration to make music.
"So it’s always something I’ve seen, or something that’s happened to me is how I come up with a song so that’s why all my songs are like stories."
After gracing the stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, Lykez is set to perform at the Reading and Leeds Festivals and a host of other live events and Lykez admits she can’t imagine ever not making music or performing.
She explained: "Music is what I want to do for the rest of my life, I like producing as well so I’ve co-produced a lot of the stuff that’s coming out on my project. My ethos is you just have to not care about making a mistake, just have fun with it."
