Kym Marsh’s show For Love of Money is coming back to BBC One

Kym Marsh’s show ‘For Love or Money’ is returning to BBC One Daytime for a second series.

The former ‘Coronation Street’ star’s show – which she presented with Ashley John Baptiste – debuted last year and saw the pair investigating online romance fraud, which has soared during the coronavirus lockdown.

Now, it’s been confirmed that the series has been commissioned for another run.

In a press release, BBC said: "Each episode will see Kym and Ashley look into one case, in the forensic style of a crime investigation.

"Their aim is to expose the sophisticated techniques fraudsters use to pull at individual’s heart strings, so they can empty their bank balance.

"They will find out how the criminals manage to appear so convincing, identify the real owners of the photos they’ve used to trick people into trusting them, unpick the other evidence they’ve supplied, and sometimes even make contact with the crooks themselves."

The pair will use the results of their investigations – on top of comparisons to similar past cases – to "resolve the lingering doubts and questions" asked in each case.

Elsewhere, Dom Littlewood is returning with ‘Deliveries Unwrapped’, with each episode of the consumer information series showing viewers how a different product is packaged and distributed.

Meanwhile, ‘Moment of Proof’ brings true crime documentary to BBC Daytime, telling the stories of police investigations centred around the moment where detectives realise they’ve cracked the case.

Carla-Maria Lawson – Head of Daytime and Early Peak – commented: "Relevant, relatable and inspiring content is the heartbeat of BBC Daytime programming, and this mix of new offerings aims to buoy viewers looking for trustworthy and entertaining television."
