Kevin Clifton felt ‘jealous’ of Stacey Dooley amid lockdown

Kevin Clifton felt "jealous" of Stacey Dooley amid the coronavirus lockdown.

The 37-year-old professional dancer has admitted he was envious of his girlfriend during the lockdown, because she was still able to work while the restrictions prevented him from doing his own job.

Kevin – who started dating Stacey after she starred on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2018 – said on his podcast: "This last month, I’ve started to get an itching to get back to work, and my girlfriend is back at work.

"I’m getting jealous of that. I’m starting to get really fed up now. It’s been an excuse to sit and play my PlayStation and just watch Netflix, but now I wish I could be performing.

"I think this is the least fit I’ve ever been right now."

Last month, Kevin admitted he fears for Stacey’s life when she is working on her dangerous TV documentaries.

The dancer thinks his girlfriend is "very brave" but confessed he still worries when she travels to dangerous territories to film her BBC shows.

He said: "She’s very brave. All I can say to her is just, ‘Please be careful. Don’t go too far to get some conversation you want or something. It’s not worth it. Just come back to me in one piece.’"

Stacey began her career in 2008 when she appeared in the documentary ‘Blood, Sweat and T-Shirts’, and went on to land her own show ‘Stacey Dooley Investigates’ the following year.

In 2019, Stacey travelled to Syria to meet a camp full of Islamic State brides and she has also been to Nigeria to visit would-be suicide bombers who escaped Boko Haram.
