Kem Cetinay says he and Amber Davies could get back together.
The 22-year-old television personality found love with Amber whilst on ITV2 reality show ‘Love Island’ in 2017, and although the couple won the show, their romance came to an end just over four months after leaving the villa.
And despite being split for over a year, Kem says he hasn’t dated anyone else since Amber, also 22, because their bond was "such a big thing" for him.
He said: "I’m not dating anyone – I haven’t for a long while. I can’t remember the last time I went on a date. I haven’t been on a date with anyone I’ve actually liked since I was with Amber and that’s honestly the truth.
"Not because I don’t want to but before ‘Love Island’ I never had a girlfriend and then on the show I was put into a situation where it just happened and even though it didn’t work out it was such a big thing for me."
The ‘Dancing on Ice’ star – who competed in the show last year, and is now the new digital reporter – says he and Amber are on "really good terms now".
He added: "But Amber and I are actually on really good terms now. We’ve been speaking a bit recently. For the first ever we’ve been able to message and be friendly – finally there’s no bitterness at all.
"I know I’ve said a lot of times that we’ve got on but the honest truth is this is the first time now we genuinely are in a good place with each other."
The former couple’s newfound love for each other could even spell a second chance at romance in the future.
When asked by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column if he thinks he and Amber could reconnect romantically, Kem said: "A lot has happened and we both only have nice things to say about to each other – you never know. Never say never."
