Katie Waissel to be X Factor presenter

Katie Waissel wants to be an ‘X Factor’ presenter.
The 30-year-old star – who shot to fame when she competed on the talent show in 2010 – is keen to do more TV work and hopes to land a guest slot on the singing competition this year.
She said: "I’d love to do more TV work – you never know, I might be presenting bits on ‘X Factor’ this year."
The singer – who married second husband Brian Moote last year – has largely lived in the US since her stint on ‘The X Factor’ because the criticism she received from fans was so hard to take.
She said: "[After the show] I wanted to keep a low profile. I went from being a regular person who just wanted to sing, to being in the papers and magazines every day.
"It’s not something that’s easy to deal with, especially when it’s negative. I wasn’t prepped on how to cope with it."
Katie recently competed on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and is grateful the show gave her a chance to show people what she is really like.
She told Closer magazine: "’CBB’ was amazing. I had a lot of fears coming back to the UK after what happened with ‘The X Factor’ but being on ‘CBB’ helped me feel more accepted. It’s really good to finally feel accepted, which is something I’ve been longing for. Since I’ve come out, a lot of people have said, ‘I thought you were a certain way on ‘The X Factor’ but actually you’re really sweet and lovely and down to earth.’ It’s been really cool."
