Katherine Ryan’s boyfriend fought off a masked man who broke into her home.
The 36-year-old comedienne revealed on social media how her man Bobby Koostra saved her from intruders who tried to steal her laptop featuring her "Netflix series and scripts".
Sharing a photo with a glass of wine and police officers in the background on Instagram, she wrote: "Cool to be robbed tonight by a masked man in our home."
In a clip posted to her stories on the site, Katherine showed followers her laptop – which had blood on it after the incident – and praised her boyfriend for rescuing the device during the terrifying ordeal.
She said in the video: "This is why I love Bobby K, because he got in a fight and wrestled back my Netflix series and scripts."
Following the scary invasion of privacy, the ‘Your Face or Mine?’ star was struggling to sleep in the early hours.
Sharing another snap at 5am, she told her fans: "That’s fine I never liked sleeping anyway."
Katherine reconnected with childhood flame Bobby – who has since moved in with the comic and her daughter in London – earlier this year while she was filming BBC series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ back in her hometown of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
However, she revealed they didn’t actually speak for 20 years after he broke her heart with their breakup at the time.
She said: "I was a handful when I was a teenager. When he split with me, I don’t blame him.
"He was like, ‘Katherine, we have to travel, we have to go to university.’ He was very logical. When you’re 16 and in love, you think that’s it. I was like, ‘What do you mean we’re not getting married?’
"We didn’t speak for 20 years because of how heartbroken I was. I went out with my sister and bumped into him into a pub and you know he’s beautiful."
