Kasabian drop high‑voltage single Great Pretender

Kasabian have dropped their adrenaline‑charged new track Great Pretender as anticipation builds for their upcoming album Act III.

Fresh off their club‑ready link‑up with Calvin Harris, Release The Pressure, the band have returned with a surging, sky‑high anthem that marks the second glimpse of their forthcoming record Act III, arriving July 17.

Where the dreamy Hippie Sunshine introduced the album with a warm haze, Great Pretender goes straight for the jugular.

Co‑written by Serge Pizzorno and produced alongside Mark Ralph, the track is built for open air chaos — the kind of song destined to erupt when the band take over Finsbury Park this summer.

Serge describes the single as a celebration of the nerves that come with ambition.

He says the song captures “that split second before you jump — the moment you realise the fear means you’re exactly where you should be.”

Act III marks Kasabian’s ninth studio album, following a run of seven consecutive UK No.1s.

Recorded between The Sergery and Club Ralph, the project blends psych‑leaning textures, swaggering guitars and Serge’s unmistakable vocals across ten full tracks and three interludes.

Kasabian’s huge Finsbury Park homecoming on July 4 is already close to selling out, with support from Louis Dunford, Razorlight, The K’s, Miles Kane and SOFY. The band will also spend the summer bouncing between major UK and European festivals, including TRNSMT, Boardmasters, Victorious and Mad Cool.
