John Barrowman back in camp

John Barrowman has returned to the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp.
The 51-year-old actor was left in agony when he fell down some steps in the dark in scenes aired on Sunday (02.12.18) evening’s show, but after being checked over in hospital, he’s now been allowed back to join his fellow contestants after it was confirmed he hadn’t been seriously injured but has a sprained ankle.
A show spokesperson confirmed: "John Barrowman sustained a sprain to his ankle but is now back in the jungle."
Despite being whisked out of the camp after his fall, both producers and the ‘Torchwood’ actor himself were hopeful he’d be back and wouldn’t have to withdraw from the competition.
A source told The Sun online: "Crew members wanted to make sure that John was medically safe, but once they saw him walking on it they were hopeful it was just a sprain.
"Once that was confirmed by an X-ray he was determined to get back to camp.
"He’s not a quitter and wants to see how far he can go in the competition. As well as finding it hard he’s relishing the challenge and loving getting to know new people."
While in hospital, John was placed on lockdown and not allowed to make contact with his family, check his phone or watch TV, and he was given basic food after missing a meal with his campmates.
The rest of the group – which has dwindled in recent days following the eviction of Noel Edmonds and Malique Thompson-Dwyer – are said to be delighted to have him back in camp.
